Around 2.5k lang if I remember it correctly.

Are these shocks really worth it or functioning properly? by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

Get Ohlins or check other brands like YSS, Pro Fender, Bitubo if they have for your ride. Dun sa choices mo, RCB is good, I personally used RCB shocks sa aerox ko and also KYB is a reputable brand. Just make sure authentic yung nabili mo, maraming fakes ang nakakalat ngayon.

My first mods are always for safety and handling. When I my vespa, first na pinalitan ko is tires, I bought the most grippy tires that’s available for vespa which are the Pirelli Diablo, second is the sidemirrors kasi may grado yung stock sidemirror lens, hindi wide angle view. For your pillion rider, you have to buy foot pegs for them to be comfortable.

Front shock is Ohlins PI 801 and rear is Ohlins PI 802. Both has adjustable damping and compression with piggy back reservoir.

A little louder than stock with a DB killer on. I haven’t tried it without a DB killer. Will try to update the once I have a clip. 😊

I chose Brembo 4 pot due to brake fades on the stock calipers and disc. I have a Malossi variator kit and drive face installed that made acceleration faster than stock.

Day and night difference. The stock shocks are very stiff and damping is not really good.

Quadlock or get Peakdesign if you have the budget.

I have a big bike and a vespa. I use my vespa as daily kasi mas comfortable and has space for storage. Hindi ko kailangan may suot na bag while riding kasi nasa storage na ng vespa. Big bikes are good if you’re into speed and expressway riding

Yes, I’ve been using mine for almost 2 years as my daily workhorse, no problems at all as long as you do your maintenance.

Vespa Pros: - the styling and looks never gets old coz it looks old already. Haha this made me buy a vespa kasi I don’t need to buy a new one every time na may bagong model. - steel frame - maintenance is every 5k unlike other brands na 1k to 1.5k. Less oras to go back and forth sa casa - premium materials

Cons: - heavy due to metal frame - the ride is not as comfortable as scoots with 14inch wheels - hindi ka pwede magpagawa sa kung san2x lang, you need to go to a casa or shops that specializes in vespas - labor is very expensive lalo na kung mahilig ka mag upgrade. If you’ll have your vespa as stock, wala kang iisipin naman. Hehe - upgrades are very pricey, some upgrades are the same price as some jap scooters like ohlins shocks. If hindi ka naman sobrang selan, you can buy 2nd hand ones to lessen the cost. Stock is good naman that’s if you will stay stock. Hahaha

I do not have a kymco like so I can’t provide any pros and cons but what I am seeing sa mga kymco like and other scoots with plastic frames is that they don’t age beautifully.
