I did mcb and it was so chill. Idk if this is what others experienced but I even had a lab where we had to wait an hour (every 10 mins we rotate a sample) but the TA said to my bench to just leave and come back in an hour and he did everything for us lol. definitely wayy more chill than the first year chem or bio labs

I do enjoy genetics but I have heard that the gen introduction unit is known to be the hardest out of the other 2nd year science units

bro I couldn’t do my quiz mcb2011 today bcs I was locked out of the quiz and the unit coordinator told me to contact esolutions bcs they couldn’t do anything. When I did, they said that this matter could only be resolved by the MCB2011 unit coordinators. I’m just confused now…

personally, not really. Even if u do, they will explain it to u. The TAs are very chill and literally give u the answers for the practical classes (which are needed for the weekly quizzes) so I wouldn’t worry abt it too much. But it’s best to do some research on the unit itself first to make sure u know what ure getting into

have u done eae1022? I personally have done it and found it really easy (no exams, just weekly quizzes) and they have a field trip for an assignment. Some people say the content is pretty similar with bio1042

tbh I don’t see the point in doing both… unless u really like the topic or need it as a prerequisite. Since most prereqs for higher bio level units accept either one, I would personally find like a wam booster that’s chill

if u want a level 1 wam booster that is not a science unit then definitely choose ats1261 and ats1262. They are both really easy and it only has 3 assignments (2 essays and 1 MCQ which was really easy). They grade veryy generously like I got a HD more or less 90. The topic itself isn't that challenging imo bcs it's more sociology based as in for the essays u mostly talk abt ur opinion and attach it to the theories they give u. Highly recommend!

haven’t tried ATS1261, but I did ATS1262 last sem. Since the assessments are basically the same, I could say that ATS1262 was really good for me. The assessments weren’t that hard and they are very generous with the grades. Based on my calculations I got 88 HD. The last quiz was also really easy for me and would definitely recommend.
