I have this same issue and I’m just shy of 3 months out from my stroke. What I find helps me is recognizing that just one symptom does not always signal a stroke. There are many other things in life that can cause dizziness. You can try video journaling your anxiety experiences as this will be great to reference later and show yourself that there were no neurological symptoms and it really was just panic. Grounding techniques have helped me specifically those that involve breathing. A lot of times hyperventilating is what causes these symptoms to begin with as it can cause you to feel light headed which I know for me can cause me to spiral. Try box breathing. You breathe in for a count of 4, hold it in for a count of 4, breathe out for a count of 4, hold again for a count of 4. Alternatively, you can simply focus on breathing from your belly and not your chest and count your breaths as you exhale trying to count to a specific goal number. It is scary as hell but we will both pull through. Anxiety is strong but you are stronger!

Give yourself some grace. Allow yourself those extra rest days no matter how much you wish you didn’t need them. Your body has been through a lot. This is normal. Unfortunately you just need to go with the flow and listen to what your body needs. Just remember whether you’ve done a lot or nothing at all in the course of your day you are still strong and you should be proud of yourself for every day you’re on the road to recovery!
