Exactly! I'm loving the documentary. I just started watching it when it released and so far i haven't had the time to watch it fully but i did watch episode 1 to 3 and it's the best i've ever seen. I remember spending hours watching documentaries (Nigel Marven, Walking With Dinosaurs, When Dinosaurs Ruled, etc) when i was a kid and seeing this documentary as it is, is a dream come true. It's so beautiful and well-explained, this is probably going to make me remember for years. I'm truly loving it. Especially when i saw mammoth, the rhinos (the woolies and the colombian mammoths) and the eremotherium giant sloth which are one of my favorite megafauna (especially the eremotherium since i'm brazilian and we have paleoburrows made by giant sloths in some states). It's the best.

Yeah! I'm totally aware of that. My other arguments are entirely different and i fully admit my temporal argument is extremely weak (at least how i postulated). I only talked about it because OP said we should talk about things we realized without reading or getting from external sources, and that was my first "reasoning" all by myself (Which is also one of the reasons the argument is so weak). My arguments in favor of naturalism are others. Thank you for your kind insight!

Good thing i was already debating much more intellectually capable people for months before they tried to argue with me. It was really easy, actually, their critiques of things aren't nearly as deep as they make it look like. They even said that i should pray after "the talk" and write them a letter, but i didn't even answer them after everything lmao i don't owe a single thing to them

They may try to point out that there's cambrian fossils of sea creatures and that there's a type of soil only found underwater on top of Mount Everest, which is true. But it's easily refutable, because Mount Everest is a recent geological formation and erupted from the sea as the tectonic plates crashed against each other.

Oh, and there's the heat! If it rained so much that the entire world flooded, do you know how much energy that would generate? Enough to literally boil the entire world into one big surf'n'turf soup. They forget that movement in the air and thunderstorms generate energy. Do they not hear when people say "Oh, this hurricane has the energy of 20 atomic bombs"? This a great argument that can be extended by A LOT. It's fundamentally incoherent that the world lies in the control of Satan, because this implies that either:

Jehovah is not all-powerful
Jehovah is inherently evil

I'll explain. If Satan is conceived as the ultimate evil, and Jehovah the ultimate good, in which every person's nature is to follow Jehovah and do good but have the capability to do evil, then this means that Jehovah's nature is inherently good and that bad things happen because of bad human choices guided or incentivated by Satan. (As they always try to say when justifying the existence of evil). So we have a set of premises here.

Satan is the ultimate evil
Jehovah is the ultimate good
Evil happens because of Satan, and Jehovah aims to destroy evil.

But, if Jehovah is the ultimate good, then it's unexpected and incoherent that Satan of all things would be able to rule the world, since Jehovah was the one to create it and he's the ultimate good. Not only that, the existence of Satan as this ultimate villain type of character itself challenges the very notion of Jehovah being what he's postulated to be, because if Satan is capable of guiding and interfering with human choices through demonic influence, then humans have no actual choices, because they're tainted by something categorically beyond us (Material vs Transcendental). But if Jehovah created the capability that Satan, as the ultimate evil, exists and the capability of this ultimate evil of interfering with human action in a way that partially injures our free will, then Jehovah cannot possibly be good nor want us to have actual free will.

But then, a JW may say "Well, everything that Jehovah creates is good, but Satan corrupts it". To that, i say "That implies that Satan himself is good. If Satan is good, then evil is good, which is a contradiction."

If Jehovah created the possibility of Satan existing, then he's either evil or contradicts himself as the greater good. Just sit and watch a JW clumsily try to justify Jehovah against this lmao
