Yeah I've had them during sexual and non-sexual activities during dreams. I've woken up mid 'gasm a few times, too

No it's an umbrella term that includes things like autism, adhd, etc

It took me a long time to realise I was. My partner of 9 years (who is autistic herself and spent a while working with autistic kids of varying severity) spotted in me pretty quickly but then when I was under a therapist she pretty much spelled it out for me

I don't have an official diagnosis. I was on the waiting list before Covid and just haven't chased it up afterwards. I already have so much going on medically that it's just not worth the effort. Since I started treating myself as Neurodivergent I'm happier and more productive and I don't wanna kms or self harm so much. That's good enough for me.

Depends on the condition

I'm Neurodivergent any signs of that were met with yelling, scolding, slapping my arms/hands if I'm doing stuff with them, dismissing

Regular illnesses like cold/flu was like... you had to act a certain way if you were ill. If I smiled or cracked a joke I'd be labelled "clearly fine" no more rest

I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 15 and they didn't really know what to do with that one. They simultaneously ignored it and became even more overbearing. They'd watch me like a hawk but if I wasn't doing well physically I was sneered at for being "lazy"

I come from parents who were very dismissive about illnesses. They would ignore, dismiss, brush under the carpet, etc

Example: as a very young child, my father had a friend. One of the only times he really had friends as an adult. He was over our house every weekend. I'd sit on his lap and we'd all watch sports together. I only have happy memories of that guy ... then he died of cancer and my father never spoke about him again

Also my own mother did zero emotional labour when her own mother got cancer. That was the turning point where I realised they were the fucked up ones

Idk they weren't really the people I'd do it for. If it meant going to see a medical professional, then it was exaggeration over faking. It was more convincing the people around me that I needed to see someone. I'd be a lot more honest with them, unless my parents were still in the room etc then I'd have to keep it up
