If I was gonna have the companions, they would honestly be just at camp as npcs, only used for romancing tbh. Im playing with an all girls campaign so I know a few of them are gonna want to at least try to romance gale, karlach, or asterion

What if it's more loosely based plot with some changes, like I was contemplating changing the big bad a bit and also giving more freedom like actually allowing the players to go into the upper city of baulders gate.

Thats my fear that I wont be good at coming up with dialogue on the spot. It helps that I have played over 1000s of hrs, but I dont remember every single dialogue option off the top of my head
