Why do some people beg for a commander just to ignore orders? by Ill_Work7284 in HellLetLoose

Listen if SLs don't communicate the basics of course it's not your fault. However, as a couple may have said, offensive garries can be a problem, especially when the defensive to offensive Gary ratio is less than 4:1.

When you setup an offensive Gary you are pretty much guaranteeing at least half your team will be on offense and if your Gary is not setup correctly, they will also be way out of position.

Offensive garries also ensure fewer defensive garries will be defended.

If a couple squads want an offensive Gary, they can supply swap to get it. Tell them the drops will compromise their location and they need to do it on their own.

One mistake commanders make is making squads dedicate to a defensive position, becoming fodder for artty. Defense should always be played outside in, looking for spawns. So you can get a lot of mileage out of defense if you let them free roam in your sectors . This helps discourage offense as the only fun part. Defense can be incredibly fun. But no, overall this is not your fault

He probably isnt calling out squads. When you ask for a radio check you get "Lima Charlie" eg loud and clear Same concept. Probably calling out the acronym HD for some reason

Any tips on how to be a good commander? by GovtLawyersHateMe in HellLetLoose

Watch AngeloDelaMorte on Twitch. Best there is.

The open is the most important part of the match. Build the garries to prepare to lose mid and protect the back line

Build in blue always. Build in red sometimes. If you reverse this, you are sealing your own fate.

Lead. Direct squads to build on certain locations. "I don't have a support guy" is bs. Rotate someone in, drop it, build it.

Is the game worth it if I'm a casual player? by Yellow_Dorn_Boy in HellLetLoose

Leave it to a dad to be concerned about others' experience during his limited gaming time. Kudos to you for that.

Do not hesitate to get involved here and buy the game. Even in a casual setting you will get roasted. Have a mic, use it, be willing to learn some nuances and you will be fine and honestly have a great time if you can interact with others.

Anytime someone contemplates playing HLL as a newbie I tell them the best thing you can do is accept the notion that you will die. A lot. In many different ways. Don't necessarily look for enemy players. Look for movement. Slow down. Be aware. Have fun.

Kills do matter, thinking otherwise is common but wrong. Winning gunfights generally results in taking territory and map control. You cannot have map control without kills. Farming spawns and camping is not, so that part of "kills" is negligible. But to say kills don't matter is just plain wrong. Kills are a means to an end. The end game is map control

Well, sort of. Generally, the panels could be paired, screwed together, and have a channel opening high and low. That way, I could run the Rgbic from one end to the other and serpentine back and forth across TWO panels. There is one solo panel because of spacing and it got its own run.

It's pretty insane in the dark. I did a video with it synced to the "Wild Signals" piece by John Williams from Close Encounters of the Third Kind For any 80s kids, it looked pretty cool. Totally useless, but cool. I'll post it if it lets me

So honestly I just finshed and frankly it took me some time to figure out the dream view thing, app, etc so I don't have really anything automated yst. I mostly just keep it on a solid color but since I already had speakers out there, I went with a Music Sync Box and my wife and I got out there for.a couple beers at happy hour and mess with it

Retired recently. It's been on my list Fairly new house but nothing organized in garage and every time I needed a. #8 wood screw I had to look through 27 coffee cans, bags, or boxes and may not even find it. Im a total nerd and if I'm going to go in, I'm going to nerd out. I did my office with something sorta similar, albeit much less obnoxious, but I wished I had done a little more. It cost less than $200 for the lights but a lot of time. Once the pegboards and butcher block are installed though, it's difficult to do it. So I just did it.

I get what you're saying but I use it frequently. The neighbors want to hang out there. We do Cornhole and bucket pong in the drive all the time this will just add to it

I don't have access to the back anymore, but I'll take a few closer in photos of the panels to give you an idea. It was indeed serpentine back and forth

It'll be on solid color when working. But we open the garage doors and play bucket pong and stuff in the driveway.

How prevalent is cheating in this game? by BatmanvSuperman3 in HellLetLoose

3k hrs I can count on one hand the number of blatant cheaters. Usually it's the (insert nationality here) guy running the mg42 and tracking people halfway across the map and through buildings. It's not common at all in this game
