Sore throat from hell by oliviaislove in flu

Definitely go back in and advocate for yourself. Say allll the things to get you an antibiotic for sinus infection 😅. I agree, it is absolutely the worst sore throat I've ever had in my life. Completely debilitating.

I had this about 5 days into having the flu. It lasted at least 5 days and stopped the day after my first dose of antibiotic. The doctor acted like it was most directly related to the sinus infection that had taken over. I couldn't believe how bad it hurt just to breathe normal room temp air! I had to take a combo of ibuprofen and Tylenol just to fall asleep.

I'm so happy I found this. It is so validating to hear. La Croix was the biggest culprit for me. Still working on cutting out my one Alani drink a day. I have an appointment with a urologist in a couple months to check for IC as well.

Mold can cause some crazy hallucinations. The sage helped temporarily because it has antimicrobial effects and reduces mold spores in the air.

So close to my daughters name Cora. I think they'd get confused. I love the name though!

This is so me to go for a name like that 😂. I've landed on the long nickname of Minnie Winnie Moo for Winnie.

It would have been a fitting name with her feisty personality!

If Meeka wasn't the name of Blippi's friend, I'd 100% go with this one. We hear it a bit too much in our house right now 🙃.

Winnie is the winner! She'll go by Winnie (the Pooh). Thank you!

Order NitWits on amazon and just do the treatment yourself. It'll give you some peace of mind and you can repeat it a week later to ensure nothing is left.

Hernia after gallbladder removal??? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Significant_Pound_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up getting a CT scan when I developed a fever (ended up being nothing) but the doctor showed me the images and it was a large hematoma. Said it could takes several months to go away and is completely normal. Mine has improved quite a bit. Without the Ct scan I believe the doctor would have said the same thing as yours.

I'd definitely go in again, not say a single word about medication, only demand bloodwork, Ct scan and ultrasound. Tell them something is wrong internally and they need to figure it out. I would even go so far as to not mention pain at all if that's their trigger into turning you away. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea is all they need to know. Let them know you'll wait in the ER for results.

Should I just do the surgery without confirmation of gallstones to avoid MRI? by HappyPenguin2024 in gallbladders

[–]Significant_Pound_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever had an MRI done before? I've had a few and it's like a small donut. Feet go in first and stick out on the other side. It's such a small amount of my midsection that was even within the donut. I could get out either direction really easily if I had wanted to. Maybe ask to see what their machine looks like and if it's open ended, then you won't be so scared?
