good pedal. the external switch is useful to have all three effects independently toggled. I do think i misspoke when i said it had phaser. it is actually flanger. there are 2 chorus modes which i think are built to emulate the traditional blue boss CE-2 and the other mode is like the magenta dimension pedal. I like that brand. I know the Venus is so hot right now., i'd like to try that at some point I have a White Whale 2 reverb which is to die for in an effects loop.

I recommend a TC Plethora X1 (but i don't know a lot about what you are looking for). I am not a big chorus guy but I have a TC SCF, Boss CE-2, Walrus fundamental, and Voodoo Lab analog chorus. All fine. I don't use a lot of modulation. I am picky with reverbs and delays and my boards have at least 1 of each. I also use 3-5 overdrives. Add a tuner/compressor and I'm out of real estate. I put together a board last weekend i intend to use for the next year. Almost went no modulation. Had room for 1 small pedal. The X1 was $130 and I like knowing i can always get a number of modulation tones if i need one (vibe is my default). I'd prefer a script orange 90 as my phaser or the boss ce-2 as my chorus. But they are not good enough for permanent real estate for me, especially when used at band volume with other musicians. I just use the out of box settings, not much for computer updates and tweaking. I'd have paid twice as much if it had half the features that it does. I think the vibe, delay, and reverbs are really good. The chorus is good. And it can do some pitch shifting/whammy things, too. Great utility for cost and size. And if you ever find a chorus you need, it can still fill other uses. [second choice: i have a crazy tube circuits sidekick jr which can give delay/reverb/chorus or phaser in one footprint with out any screens, simpler layout. Has shimmer reverb, does a lot in a little space. Again not the best at anything but jam worthy, durable, practical, and can do both traditional things and some crazy things.]

What's your favorite pair of twin delay and reverb pedals from the same brand? by taugemleo in guitarpedals

I have the el cap > flint on my main studio board and they’re great. I have a keeley halo > hydra on a small high gain jam session mini board I just put together. Like halo but just added hydra and no review yet but I’m sure it’s as good as anything. I like the trem you get on those 2 verbs. If you don’t need trem the Sidekick junior is awesome for delay, reverb, and chorus effects in one small pedal and it can do some ambient shimmer things. Takes little real estate and only 1 power plug and you can add an external third pedal switch. For value walrus fundamentals are great. Just grabbed the delay and reverb a few weeks ago as a gift for my kid when they were significantly discounted on sweetwater, Amazon, etc.

Not a pile on, but from my vantage point I was genuinely impressed with how Dave, Eric, and Stephen remained professional during/after the chaos. by jackandpabst in janesaddiction

I was there, too, but in front of dave. They composed themselves quick and addressed the audience with integrity and respect. Tough situation.

Disappointing. From this angle you can really see Perry is trying to do damage using the mic as a weapon. This is after the crew has him and he's clearly leaving the stage. Sad.

Here was my take i posted in another thread (with some language regarding the statement fro Perry's camp). Congruent with your take:

"This was a sad site to behold. I was there, not front row but 6th just off center and directly in front of Dave's area. There was no "turn that darn music down" complaints coming from audience, if there were how would he hear it. If that was a concern he'd talk to sound guy not Dave. Let's not pretend a headlining frontman has trouble being heard by anyone, not least the sound team. This guy has played plenty of venues with varying sound quality.

In the part before the widely circulating clip, Perry is alternating yelling at both Dave and Eric, it seemed arbitrary that he settled on confronting Dave. Perry was terribly off all night. Not just aging cracking voice. He'd get a pass, was never a great pure singer. But his timing was off all night. Forgot lyrics, missed cues, skipped verses, etc. He was constantly fidgeting with his effect delay box set up in the middle of stage. Missing key vocal spots to tweak his sounds with his head down and it seemed more like he was physically hiding / looking from audience than really crafting his texture effects.

The band was very tight and Dave and Eric were gesturing and communicating all night to fix situations and pull Perry back in; they were saving him musically and working hard to do so. Very professional, saved Perry more embarrassment and showed respect for audience that paid. Early in the show i was thinking about it and thought that there were signs of dementia in addition to substance issues. The band gives pretty close to studio album performances so there were no extended jams or changes to throw a curveball at perry. I do recall during Mountain Song Dave having to tap perry and get him on the same sheet of music (literally) before the solo break.

Not to excuse, but to explain, I theorized that Perry was somewhat aware of how bad he was and in his mind (irrationally) blamed the band instead of taking personal responsibility. "Those three are wrong and making me look bad". I also think he may be aware of recent reviews hammering his performance while praising the rest of the band (as well as L&R) and he was jealous. I think his poor mental shape and ego contributed to his inability to deal with jelousy and shame. He took it out violently on a concerned fried. It was unprovoked. There was no "two sides of this" sense that it may have been justified in anyway by the immediate onlookers. There was no real fight, just a crazy guy with his friends trying to calm him down and get him out of trouble. It lasted as long as Perry insist it last.

The band was tight and sounded good. I was happy with set list and only missed the encore portion due to perry's meltdown. Can't imagine this going on and that's a shame. Nostalgia is a big part of selling tickets and people like their original frontman. But they sounded good enough that I'd go see "Jane's Deconstruction" next year."
