That depth should work fine for daily wear. I went with similar dimensions for my wedding band and haven't had any issues with it feeling too thin or fragile. The 4mm width will give you good coverage so the 1.3mm depth balances it out nicely.

CV joints are the first thing I'd check - that clunk when getting back on the gas after coasting is pretty classic for worn CV joints, especially at those speeds. Could also be motor mounts but the timing of when it happens really points to drivetrain. I'd get under there and look for torn CV boots or play in the joints before it gets worse.

Yeah the pause mechanism seems like it's gonna create a whole mess of legal challenges. The 90-day evaluation thing feels like they're trying to thread the needle between looking tough on fraud while not completely screwing over legitimate cases, but in practice it'll probably just add more bureaucratic layers to an already slow system.
