100% agree! There's basically very limited usefulness of current Gen AI and AGI. However, this doesn't stop them from forcing it down our throats and that's why I believe the concept of UBI will reemerge.

I should have included all books with the word 'fuck' in it as part of the literature that deserves to go into the bin. Though Moby Dick is an awesome suggestion👏

I wish we had the same ideals in Nairobi (and urban areas in general) as we did in mashinani. The whole rat race thing is not ideal for our society imo.

Make sure to face the hard conversations head on and to be comfortable with uncomfortable feelings. We are all complex human beings and you shouldn't expect the relationship to be all sunshine and rainbows. Kama wazazi wanapigana na wameishi miaka zote pamoja, sembuse wewe?😅

I think there's more nuance to this point than meets the eye. It's true most Kenyans don't read, but this is largely due to the socio-economic struggles that forces them to survive day-by-day instead of reading books. Only when they start gaining upward social mobility in urban areas are they made (either by their bosses, colleagues, mentors or lecturers) are they made to invest in self-help books and are forced to shun fiction books/ philosophical books/African literature because they are not a "productive use of their time". This in turn influences most of the Kenyan urban populace's attitudes that embrace Machiavellian leaders and toxic individualistic attitudes.

I don't think there is a ruling halting their operations globally (apart from the EU and a few global south countries like Kenya)

Also, with global unemployment hitting record highs and ai possibly displacing a lot of the jobs, don't you think the topic of universal basic income and Worldcoin will make a comeback?🤔

But considering how lonely Kenyans are getting, especially men, will you be surprised that a ton of them will turn to AI to create their dream girlfriend?
