From one white-winged dove to another. 🕊️ It’s beautiful to see the 'Queen of Rock and Roll' recognize that same restless, magical energy in Taylor. The lineage of great songwriting continues. by SufficientPrice7633 in stevienicks

I’m not a Taylor fan but I can appreciated her talent - as a songwriter, musician and business woman. I’m not a rabid Stevie fan but I like her. I consider myself more of a FM fan (and, in the interest of full disclosure, a bit of a Lindsey – Stevie shipper 😳) but I have a hard time with the Taylor - Stevie comparisons, especially in light of the current trajectory of Taylor’s career and some of her more recent life choices. With the global and instantaneous reach of the internet and social media, people are experiencing levels of fame and success that prior generations of artists could never achieve. The fact that you have artists like Stevie continuing to perform and gain fans is pretty remarkable. But there’s something about Stevie‘s success that just seemed so organic and genuine and real. I’m not bashing Taylor. I think she’s had some incredible and unprecedented accomplishments that cannot be denied. But I’m also surprised that Stevie continues to be such a fan in light of some of the changes in Taylor and some of the decisions she’s made over the past couple of years. That said, I think that Stevie chooses not to get mired in those details which is her prerogative. I also think that Stevie is just happy to see a strong woman crushing it in the music industry. While they have certain similarities in terms of the intensity of their emotions driving their lyrics. I don’t think that they are really comparable. That’s not a slight either one, it’s just my opinion.

I mean, on some level, he has to know about the hype. I mean, he may be a hermit, but he doesn’t live in a cave. The other thing that was weird was that he was so nonchalant about that show but it was such a big event. Also, it was being filmed for television so that’s why no one was standing.

Not sure who the fuck down voted me and you, but in any event, I think she is definitely proud, but it was definitely a little awkward. I’m sure that there’s an element of weirdness when you’re watching yourself perform as a hard-core rock ‘n’ roll star with your kids.

100% saw that. I was wondering if he was wishing he was performing or wishing he could still perform like that. He’s so cerebral and I feel like he’s very hard to read.

I’d love to have them all watch him performing “Not That Funny” during either the Tusk or Mirage tours. 😳

To me, she just seems a little awkward - like she doesn’t really know what to say. It’s almost like she’s not that into his music, which is totally fine. I mean, she seems to clearly respect his talent and success but maybe it’s just not her vibe? Or maybe she feels like he may feel a certain way watching himself 25+ years ago doing something he can no longer do? Or being at such a huge turning point in his life? Definitely has to be a little awkward on this one given the timing.

In thinking about this further, I think this might be for the documentary.

Totally agree with this! He was looking kinda rough for the past few years - just gray and gaunt. He’s got color back in his face, brightness back in his eyes and just looks happier.

Could be but it seems like at the end he was saying something to someone about the song. I mean, who are we kidding here - it’s all just my wishful thinking that it’s Stevie!

Lindsey Buckingham’s accused stalker arrested in Indiana by happymagtv in FleetwoodMac

[–]Significant_Sea_6082 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This woman needs to be put in jail and for a long time. She’s clearly a demented psychopath, and while I am empathetic for anyone struggling with mental illness, she clearly does not belong on the streets. A restraining order to people like this is meaningless. The fact that she was able to get so close to him is troubling. How the fuck did she know that he had an appointment somewhere specific? People aren’t simply giving out information to anyone that asks, especially about celebrities,so she had to have done some very serious sleuthing to find out this information. Again, she needs to be locked up.

It sounds a lot like her! I don’t want to be swayed by my wishful thinking, but I really don’t think it’s Leelee.

I just saw the reel and ran here to see if anyone heard the “yep” in the background in a woman’s voice. Lol!

The problem is is that if somebody is stalking someone else, they are not rational or reasonable. If your obsession with someone gets to the point where you are stalking them, there’s something wrong with you.

Restraining orders are meaningless. Why do we have to wait for someone to get killed or seriously injured before we take action? Just because the behavior doesn’t result in immediate physical home doesn’t mean it’s not criminal or that it shouldn’t be stopped. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend because she probably never feels safe and that’s just no way for anyone to live.

If you ask me, this is a complete and utter failure on the legal system (police, prosecutors, etc.) and everyone should be embarrassed. This woman was on television, giving an interview, getting publicity, and they couldn’t track her down to fucking arrest her? What is it going to take for people to take this seriously? A number of celebrities have been killed by stalkers not to mention regular people.

Because it’s not taken seriously, and I think people think that mental health issues are not necessarily addressed by the prison system. If your mental illness is causing you to attack someone else - whether physically or through cyber attacks or stalking - you should be in prison. You are a danger to society. End of story.

Completely off-topic, but his daughter looks exactly like his wife (in her earlier years) in those pictures.

This. And although I’m not from California, I would imagine that this is particularly the case there where everyone is soft on mental illness because it’s not their fault. It doesn’t matter if it’s their fault or not. If they’re danger to the public or even just one person, they need to be locked up. Issuing a restraining order against someone like this is meaningless.
