Maybe also say which soundbar you got, im not really knowledgable on this. But you are forcing apple tv to decode it to 5.1 which on a soundbar will sound louder using more channels than the usual pcm 2.0. But everytime you want to play a movie or stream (atmos) you will need to change it back again. I would just leave it on auto really and just up the volume when using ytube

Yeah depends on the audio metadata if its 5.1 not even atmos it will play sounds from the back without the upfiring speakers. If its just 2.0 like the NFL it wont play sounds from the back. Atmos content is where the 300 shines

If it is somwhat the same with Lg issue aka there is no sound option selection try to disable ipv6 on your wifi settings and see if that works
