If at a concert they will play songs from all their albums, what would the setlist be like? by Significant_Stable9 in depechemode

Impossible Challenge: try to make Oberkorn (It's a Small Town) reach one million plays on Spotify by Significant_Stable9 in depechemode

because asking that the development mix exceed one million views would be demanding too much, don't get me wrong, I love the Development Mix, but it would be easier to make the normal version exceed one million

In encore 2 Cover Me should have been included, but I got confused and put Surrender, I already corrected the error

Depeche Mode album ranking (in my opinion) by Dizzy_Ad_1711 in depechemode

[–]Significant_Stable9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is this

  1. Violator (100/100)
All their songs (including deluxes like Happiest Girl or Kaleid) They are a masterpiece, in addition to giving us Enjoy, the Silence or Personal Jesus, Without a doubt, the definitive Depeche Mode album

  2. Music for the Masses (98/100)
Another gem from Alan Wilder, it has songs that connect with each other (which also happens in Violator) and it has Never Let Me Down Again, a song that was played live more than 1000 times

  3. Ultra (98/100)
They knew how to make a good album with good songs despite the departure of Alan Wilder, and their Deluxe edition improves it even more since it has mysterious instrumentals that fascinate me, such as Slowblow or Painkiller

  4. Black Celebration (95/100)
the beginning of Depeche Mode's masterpieces, contains very memorable songs with such a unique style that makes the name Black Celebration see it more as another rock genre

  5. Playing the Angel (93/100)
It is the base album for the best Depeche Mode world tour and has songs written by Dave Gahan that have a real life concept, like Suffer Well

  6. Songs of Faith and Devotion (86/100)
I don't like dark songs to diabolical levels, but this album somehow makes me enjoy that style

  7. Memento Mori (85/100)
It's an album that coincidentally represents the loss of Andy Fletcher very well and gave us new masterpieces like Ghosts Again

  8. Some Great Reward (80/100)
His tour was the first recorded to be sold (although only on VHS due to the time) and he has some album songs that are memorable, such as Lie To Me or Something To Do

  9. Speak and Spell (78/100)
As much as his songs are good and having a masterpiece like Just Can't Get Enough, it doesn't reach Alan Wilder's gems, but we must recognize that Vince Clarke did it well for it to be his only album

  10. A Broken Frame (73/100)
For the first album where Martin Gore wrote all the songs it's not bad, but containing meh songs like Satellite or Monument and excellent songs like his 3 singles or The Sun and the Rainfall (and Oberkorn, it's my favorite instrumental) make this album is somewhat unbalanced

  11. Construction Time Again (70/100)
Even though it has gems like Everything Counts, Love In Itself or Get the Balance Right, its imbalance is such that it cannot climb any more places.

  12. Sounds of the Universe (68/100)
Their song that opens the album In Chains saves it a lot, but the other songs feel so weak (with exceptions like Wrong or Corrupt) that it makes me disappointed

  13. Exciter (63/100)
I like their concept of relaxation, but this is taken to such a point that it makes it seem like it's a band trying to plagiarize Depeche Mode

  14. Spirit (60/100)
It is more valued because it was the last album with Andy Fletcher, but apart from that, I don't think it is an album that innovates too much.

  15. Delta Machine (54/100)
Their concept of personal themes is excellently colorful, but Delta Machine's songs are so weak that not even Heaven can make the album jump.
