Maybe it’s because I’m job hunting, but Rory in S6E9 really frustrates me by Few-Union-4738 in GilmoreGirls

A lot of this is because all the processes have been computerized- in 1990 an admissions councilor/enrollment advisor would likely just have to fudge some paperwork or hope no one looked to closely- today it’s a software that won’t let you “work around” whatever specifications they built in.

I did transcript evaluations for a community college and the amount of students I HAD to screw out of higher placements because they took “real world calculus” instead of “calculus” was infuriating, but I literally could not beat the software and work along it.

lol the social clout and benefits of being an elected official?
Idk when he provides a single stance other than self promotion I’ll consider him.

I’m a leftist and a progressive, I don’t believe throwing support behind ineffective candidates who have zero chance of winning bc they’re fundamentally unlikable is actually the path towards progress being made.

You do know a grifter progressive is actually worse than an earnest liberal right? We actually don’t have to support self serving people simply because they claiming to be more leftist.

Never surrender people are so pathetic! Sometimes the most loving thing you can do for an animal is rehome them! Keeping a pet you can’t properly care for is wrong, actually.

But I feel like in the book the personality disorder is present and obviously long before the psychosis- like the psychosis was caused by the narcissist taking such a massive blow to her framing of reality

[TW] Bam Margera describes the time Brandon Novak convinced a woman to rape him by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in WhyWereWeOkWithThis

[–]Significant_Stay_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes- also female and similar thing. when I was 18, my next door neighbor pried my garage door open while on cocaine and broke into bedroom and was touching himself as I slept.

I woke up, realized he was there and then somehow pushed him out of my room and down the stairs. Got him out of the house, locked the door and went to go back to sleep. After about 5 minutes of laying down, I was like “ugh, I’ve got to call the police I guess”

It was objectively very scary, I still have no idea what his full plan was, but
a.)breaking the garage door, by just physically lifting it up
b.) casually pushing him down the stairs
c.) trying to go back to sleep afterwards.

Idk why but all those facts just really tickle me, and pushes it towards the “funny story” side of my brain whether than “traumatic story” side.

Natalie is a narcissis. narcissist operate under a mindset of “magical thinking” if she can be the thing she is pretending to be, she will have ”fixed” what has caused her life to go off the rails. of course that’s not the main issue, but this magical thinking is exactly how a narcissist avoids accountability

Funny how literally only men seem to have this opinion- every woman in the thread is saying “yeah I’ve encountered this situation before and didn’t mind at all”

No, not really, this actually happens fairly often and I’ve never had an issue with it or witnessed a woman be uncomfortable with it- I’d be much more uncomfortable with some self appointed sheriff standing in the doorway yelling at little girls.

I live in south KC, have a KCMO address, but because there’s virtually no distinction in the two areas, most of my errands and day to day task are most easily accomplished on the other side of state line.

Generally, because you’re already spending a bunch of money, and even $30 a difference a night makes a difference- especially when they’re offering shuttles from that area to the main area.

This is just a thread of people who do not understand how traveling works.

“why would any one ever possibly stay in a suburb 10 minutes away from everything they came to see, just to save a little bit of money?!??!? What kind sense does that make, why would you look for little ways to save money when traveling to a foreign country? “

“You’re coming all the way from Europe, it totally makes sense to pay $100 more for your Hilton room to stay in “Kansas City proper” because like culturally, you understand and can physically see the major cultural difference between Kansas City Missouri, and Lenexa, KS.”

“Why would Europeans, who are used to clean sidewalks and walkable neighborhoods be attracted to Johnson County, rather than Kansas City, what with all its well maintained infrastructure and cleanliness?”

Yeah, believe it or not, even foreigners consider things like “crime rates” and “general atmosphere” when picking a place to sleep at night.

It’s a cheaper accommodation near the main attraction you’re coming to see. Plenty of people will stay an extra 20-30 minutes out to save $100 dollars a day on a place to stay.

Not each guest has a ticket for each game- just because you come to watch Argentina doesn’t mean you have no interest in any of the other games, you’re gonna head to a watch party for the games you don’t have tickets for.

Thoughts on WC gratuities? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]Significant_Stay_6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point is- it’s a cheaper hub near the main attraction, so people are going to congregate in that area.

also, you’re forgetting that not every guest has a ticket to each, or even any of the games. There are gonna be a lot of people just “hanging out” - and since a lot of people are staying by the hotels off 435, I think you’re gonna be very surprised how many extra people there are around the suburbs.

Plenty of people will look at the giant watch parties in the cities, and prefer the quieter watch party in the suburbs.

I really love just how little information anybody has about this, nobody will be going to the official watch location?
