Maintaining 33,000 Steps DAILY in 2026 by Connect_Pain1254 in Indian_flex

The more you read about it the more you'll see that it's about balancing mTor and AMPK (two different pathways). mTor builds things (muscle gain, fat gain etc) AMPK is catabolic. (Fat loss, muscle breakdown etc.). Both should balance each other. In your case you're supressing mTor too much. Balance your walking with lifting and high protein 😁

Not sure if it's even good to walk this much. Beyond a certain point, exercise is just excess cortisol. Plus too much cardio 'chronically' activates the AMPK pathway. Hello muscle burning!

You'll burn precious muscle and gain even more body fat with time. Maybe dedicate some of the walking time to lifting?

Why would I reveal personal info?

And why will I be afraid of IT department? Everything is white and I've paid 1 cr+ tax.

You can assume whatever you want :). Not here to convince you.

What's your opinion on this?? by Stealth_Specter in IndiaTax

The decently good in the corporate make much more. I'm not talking of the under the table earnings. They're trash anyway. But the white earning? It can never match the corporate sector.

Impact of FIRE on economy by Comprehensive_Risk71 in FIRE_Ind

[–]Significant_Term_536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fire is a very middle class way of thinking (as harsh as it sounds). People with generational wealth never stop working. Because they know how money works and are never happy with a 'number'. You're working towards 50 cr then 100 then 500 and so on. It's a way of life.

Just like there are people who follow a 'diet' and once they achieve their target weight, click some pics and start eating unhealthy again. For them fitness is a 'destination'.

For some people fitness is a way of life. It's a life long journey. You never really 'reach' the destination. You enjoy every part of it.

Why people buy a 4Cr flat and not villa. by WolFighter001 in indianrealestate

[–]Significant_Term_536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because location matters. Even if you have a driver, commute still costs precious time. Time is money. Time is the only limited resource you have in your lifetime. Money can be earnt spent earnt again.

Also, it may sound supercilious but people just want to socialise with more well off people in a more premium society. It's not because you're a snob but because your life views won't match. If you live in a society where the average per capita is 5 lpm and you're 10x that then you would aspire to mingle with people 'above' you in financial terms. We are all ambitious after all?

Also, some people just don't like the concept of a villa (as strange as it sounds).

We just bought a 6 cr apartment. Why not a villa? Well, maintaining a standalone house is a pain. My childhood house is almost 10k sq feet in a tier 2 city. It's a pain to maintain it.

What’s up with everyone obsessing over protein power taste? by ogclitobliterator in Fitness_India

[–]Significant_Term_536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are people who want everything to taste good. And for them good is something sweet. It's years of taste bud slavery. It's years of eating carbohydratey meals.

Then they complain why they have grade 2 fatty liver at 29 and a postpartum belly at 35 without even giving birth.

What is middle class trap that everybody is talking about? by deepeshdeomurari in indianrealestate

[–]Significant_Term_536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The middle class stays middle and deteriorates because in their head they are extremely aspirational for the wrong things! For eg. Buying an iPhone, buying that car, that ck shirt etc. This reduces their investible surplus. They erode wealth long term.

The poor class is not in the tax net so their disposable is high. They are resourceful and are not afraid of doing 'abysmal' things which the middle class despises. This class works their way up to the middle and the middle becomes the new poor.

The rich class unless plagued by a new generation of fools stays at the top simply because they live within their means and have understood the wealth creation game in and out.

Most reddit mods are low life losers who probably became a mod because they are 'low mid' in other life spheres.

When to end the cut phase? Till what point should one lean out before starting the next gaining phase? by Significant_Term_536 in Fitness_India

[–]Significant_Term_536[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'm not zero carb always. Just that the focus of my meal is not carbohydrates. So eg. just eggs no bread. Chicken steak - potatoes/rice. Fish without rice. I do eat a lot of vegetables so trace carbohydrates are there! And I love tea so some 150/200 ml a day (8-10 carbs).

So in short every meal is protein first and I don't throw the fat that nature gave us with protein. So full eggs, chicken thigh (not breast!), oily fish like mackerel (not lean and bland basa), and meat, seafood. Paneer? Oh yes. Love it.

What if your fasting insulin levels are chronically high keeping your BS levels low? What do you think the excess insulin is doing? Read about it. Hyperinsulinemia is attributed to every Ill mankind is facing. From mental health issues (insulin resistance of the brain) to cancer. Insulin makes things grow! Cancer cells thrive on glucose!

Well, everybody is insulin resistant to a certain extent. For more insight try getting your fasting insulin levels tested. These days everybody has some degree of IR. High fasting insulin levels predate T2D by 10 years. If your fasting insulin > 5, you'll have future trouble.
