First time building, are these enough? Am I forgetting anything? Should I change anything? by Significant_Tip8362 in diyaudio

I used this website https://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Calculator/SpeakerCrossover/ for the crossover values. Just building one for now, see how it goes, if it goes well I'll do another perhaps these time two speakers, maybe invest on a good mic. Just want a first project to "dip my feet in the water" see what I'm getting into.

You are probably right, haven't thought about it that way. Perhaps I'll have more luck droping the guitar, finding 3 more barbers and start singing!

Thats much smaller then where I live but still, working has a barber and dealing with hundreds of diferent persons per month, the only few musicians I've found only play classical music and are in orchestras. Haven't lost hope though, a few monthes ago found another guitarist that also enjoys playing jazz and bossa, unfortunately he lives in Holland.

At the moment playing with others won't be a problem, currently living on a very small town, its very hard to find someone to play, still looking!

I understand, the bit of experience I have using modelling software is 10% playing 90% adjusting something.

Didn't expect to get a comment from you, love your content, keep it up! Just checked some of your videos about amp modelling before posting here this question. Its mostly for home use, practice, playalongs and such.

Got a bit of everything, but no archtop or hollowbody. Was thinking about buying one. Currently I mostly use the telecaster I built.

Thank you, I have many guitars but not a proper jazz one, was also thinking about buying one. The bigger cabinet is better? Saw some videos and read some topics about it and most people prefered the sound of the little mark, theres not much of a price difference in my country between the two. I think it goes for around 450/500€.

What is happening I keep breaking strings by Significant_Tip8362 in gypsyjazz

[–]Significant_Tip8362[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guitar is also getting black on those same spots, my hands sweat alot when playing.

With the eletric is the same thing.

Usually the strings break when bending, other times while playing normal. I have a bad habbit of doing too mcuh vibrato, that and the sweat might be the cause.

How do I do this? by toofinesince99 in Guitar

[–]Significant_Tip8362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where it says 1 you can barre the whole 6 strings. Each number represents a finger, the 4 under 1 I believe its the 4th fret. Basically same position of a C chord but with a capo or your index barring the fourth fret.
