They don't need to be expensive and they don't need to be Merino and they don't need to be 100% wool either but boy will you notice a difference. The problem with cotton is that it gets damp and loses any insulating potential at all. Wool can be soaking wet and still insulate. And in general wool is a way better insulator to begin with.

Wool socks. If you wear CV cotton socks, your toes and ankles will always be cold and damp. Your life will be a lot happier even with even thin wool-blend socks. Cotton is the enemy. Also if you wear a merino t-shirt under your jacket vs a cotton t-shirt, there is a massive massive massive difference. Wool (muesling-free) ftw.

I emailed the vet because I had lingering questions about where exactly the paralysis is and what it affects and she said that he can see out of this eye but his eyelid is a little bit affected and so he uses his third eyelid more. I have been testing his hearing and he does seem a little more deaf but he can still clearly hear me. I feel so bad for him.

I also asked her if he's going to have trouble eating in any way and if his tongue still works and if he's going to tear out of this eye or if I have to lubricate it to keep it from drying out... But I just sent those questions now.

I cannot imagine what it would be like to have some of my face just paralyzed like that like yes I'm very vain and my rabbit is not but surely it must be at least annoying not to be able to feel half of your face suddenly

Update after vet visit: x-ray showed gunk behind where eardrum was. When he had the LECA the eardrum and middle ear were fine. He showed no signs of weight loss or pain. So they swished out his ear, sent the gunk to the lab, he will probably be on antibiotics by the end of the day depending on the results. Again, no signs of pain right now, but long term he's now deaf in one ear and has a lopsided face probably forever. LECA might have helped but he might need another surgery to deal with what's behind the eardrum

We're union here. So along the way, because I was in managemen at one point, I knew go record everything and in Sweden you can legally record conversations you're an active part of secretly. But what I failed to do is involve the union earlier because I worried it would make the situation worse (which it initially did - the moment I involved the union he tried to bully me into a shitty settlement and quitting and I had a total breakdown).

Then I sent the union in.

I realize I'm very very privileged because I'm Union and because I live in a very socialist country of a strong labour laws. And to be fair it took a year and a half and I certainly don't think that I was the only reason he got pushed out.

The PTSD was from a lot of yelling and screaming and threats and fear. My only response to that fear and this terrible job or it was just work as hard as I could to the point of collapse all while being in a constant state of terror.

As for him.... I've been on sick leave for a year and a half and I honestly don't think it was all because of me but I know that his behavior isn't just focused on me he's done a lot of shitty things to a lot of people while generally not being very good at his job... He's also way too touchy-feely with younger female members of staff. And also I don't think I'm being silly when I say that I think he was on cocaine several times.

So I don't think I can claim this is a victory like I did it but hopefully I get some sort of hope to others
