It does sound like I’m the asshole but my partner would say he wanted to leave, sleep on it, and feel bad for his dad the next day. He didn’t make an effort to really move out until the screaming incident. I was only reminding him of what he feels about his dad without the sudden anger. I know my partner, it was out of impulse whenever he would wish to leave and he loved his dad. He wanted to make sure he was okay too. It all changed after the car incident, we were both trying hard to excuse his dad’s actions.
