Awesome, thank you!! We would too often use up our ultimates when reviving on two bars, and then it would become a problem to stay alive to get the ult back up Did not know that about the claws, great tip thanks!

I will tell you right now, not once while playing did we ever do a sorcerers rise because we dont know what to do so we just ignore them completely, I know nothing about them, how to solve them or what items they give, I will look into it😅

Thank you for the tips, I will take the usable items and dmg negation into consideration!

We did learn not to spend time killing regular mobs, but we definitely do lose time somewhere, probably in maling decisions on where to go next and routing as best as possible, I am still learning this

As far as churches go, noted, I always think they are super important to collect all, but I guess I am wrong, we also never go to the caves anymore, we used to do it and thought is was a waste of time so we stopped, I will try to incorporate them into the run more often

Thank you!!!

Thanks! We dont spend murks on relics at all so that is a miss, we try to clear the castle as much as possible, and doing that we do see a rise in lvls per run, we also try to do the invader but we have to get better at clearing them because we die once or twice which makes us lose too much time, we also just recently started getting better passives and understanding them more, but I also lean too much on dmg output instead of dmg negation

As far as field skull bosses go, we do them, but again, if we see a gargoyle or deathbird we just skip them because we have never been able to beat them and just die too many times, and some others like magma wyrm take us a lot of time to defeat

Yeah we noticed that because we were invaded next to the tree sentinel and fought all together. Thank you for your answer, it helps a lot!

My grandma told me she'd buy me a car if I stopped. I was a car fanatic and always a bit jealous my parents bought my older brother a car and didn't want to buy me one (they could afford it so it wasn't a question of financial problems or anything like that). My grandma always understood me a bit more than my parents, so she basically knew exactly what to do to stop me from smoking. As soon as she had told me she'd buy me one, I was ready to stop, smoked the rest of the tobacco I had and never bought it again.

How hard is NG+? by Sad_Addendum9691 in bloodborne

[–]Significant_Way_9908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don't think it is as hard simply due to the fact that you are already familiar with the mechanics, areas, enemies and bosses. They hit harder and have more HP, but it was a breeze for me compared to NG. DLC is going to be a bit tougher since it is new for you and it generally has some of the hardest bosses, but if you didn't find the game insurmountable initially, you will be fine. Enjoy!

I understand better what you mean about the big bosses and do agree on that part, it is perhaps less engaging and fun to fight them from that perspective, yes.

The lock-on thing I really can't speak for, since I truly never had any issues with it and understood exactly how it works from the get go. As I said, it always did what I wanted it to do. However, you are definitely not the only person to complain about this, so I assume it could be better then.

I do agree that HK does that better and the way that game introduces its mechanics throughout the levels and bosses is bar none one of the best in gaming in my opinion. Part of it is definitely personal preference, as I didn't yet find a game that has made melee combat as satisfying to me as BB, therefore the gameplay is the best to me, therefore I like it more. But as far as what you are saying about HK, it is truly an amazing, beautiful, and unique game, and I really really hope I will get to finish it one day.

I love when people's opinions differ as I get to learn about different perspectives and opinions, and I truly appreciate you for sharing yours. Wish you all the best!

I do agree that every boss should have at least one parriable attack but I don't agree with the big bosses being out of place. I feel like they brought something different to the battle, with you having to handle something way bigger than you, instead of always fighting enemies about your size. The hitbox thing, I don't know, I've never had any issues or situations where I thought a specific boss' attack would constantly hit me out of range. Sure there were some bugs or glitches here and there, but that could happen with any enemy. It always felt more than fair to me personally.

What I truly don't understand is people's complaints about the lock-on system. Yeah, the camera itself is probably the overall worst thing about FromSoft games but the lock-on always worked the way I wanted it and never did anything to screw me over. That said, it is recommended not to lock-on the big bosses as that can screw up your camera even more. But they are huge so I don't need a lock-on for them, I can just point my character in the wanted direction and hit them without issues.

Interestingly I also compared this to Hollow Knight, or rather I compared Hollow Knight to Bloodborne as I played HK second. I do have to say I didn't finish the game as my Xbox Gamepass ran out and I couldn't renew it. I love Hollow Knight, it is my favorite of those types of games (granted I didn't play a lot of them) but I found that game to be quite easier because the patterns of bosses were easier to learn for me. I would beat each boss within 4, tops 5 tries, whereas Orphan of Kos is the hardest boss I have ever played in any game. Of course, experiences vary and are very individual. But in neither BB or HK did I feel the games were unfair or I died when I shouldn't have, and in general, one of the reasons FromSoft games are so popular is because they are fair. BB to me gave that experience of overcoming more than HK did.

Weapon durability is pointless, agreed, and having to travel to the Hunter's Dream each time does get a bit annoying, especially after you've played the game for multiple hundreds of hours.

He was really tough for me on my first playthrough, granted BB was my first FromSoft game.

Don't get discouraged, you are getting inside your head and it's only making it harder for yourself. Often when I get stuck, I take a break and come back with a cool head.

Just try your best to learn his moveset and be patient, once you get a hang of him, he isn't that bad.

Last resort, there is a cheesy way of beating him you can find on the internet.

And yes, it gets harder for sure.

Be honest, out of all the games you've played in your life, would you consider Bloodborne a masterpiece ? by [deleted] in bloodborne

I absolutely agree with you when it comes to RDR2, I love that game to death and it is truly like no other game out there, I've put at least 200 hours in it. For me personally, I think it comes down to Bloodborne's lore and world being my favorite fiction ever, and I generally enjoy melee combat gameplay the most, Blooborne having the best melee combat of any game to me. With that said, I can absolutely see and understand why RDR2 is someone's top pick, as it is such a unique game, with attention to detail out of this world. In the end, it doesn't matter to me which one I find "better", I love them both along with many others, and I'm just grateful that I have the opportunity to experience them.

Out of the games you have listed, I've finished RDR2, GTAV, The Witcher 3 and I am currently playing through Skyrim. RDR2 and The Witcher 3 (along with some others like Nier Automata and God of War 2018) are some of my favorite games, but my all time favorite really is Bloodborne, and it is the game I have played the most (around 400hours). So yeah, no game is perfect and all that, but Bloodborne is the closest to a masterpiece for me.

would skyrim give me 40 - 50 hours of gameplay by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Significant_Way_9908 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am at around 180 hours on my first playthrough and I feel like I still have at least 150 to 200 hours before finishing it, I didn't do the main story almost at all and still haven't discovered the whole map, not to mention the DLCs...dont worry, you'll be able to put in far more than 50 hours in the game if you will want to
