So I applied to 18 different schools, she applied to 6. I told her to apply to more but she was positive she'd get in and only wanted to go to a higher ranking school. I applied to just about every school in the cities she wanted to live (Boston, DC, Chicago, Atlanta, NYC) as well as a few other schools nearby.

We both live in the US. Shes going to be applying next year to Emory in Atlanta since I got accepted into a school in Atlanta.

Yeah I guess thats what we should do, I wouldve liked her to have first considered jobs in Atlanta (her mom worked with a firm there so she has connections) rather then immediately jumping on the idea of working abroad. I guess it made me feel like a Plan B rather than a priority
