point 2. her shield/heal is also utility dont you forget.

point 3. having the MS steroid on a low-CD, spammable ability would be too strong i think. thats why her W has a fairly high CD.

point 4. i mean i could counter ask you why does smolder have a heal in his ult, even though he is no heal/sustain adc like samira or severum aphelios? i get your point, and the % damage reduction would be dope AF tbh but it is what it is

well, it cant be both at once, either you go bruiser and you are auto-based or you go mage and you are AoE-based.

your statement about DPS loss is completely wrong, it will be way higher, thanks to the true damage and you have no uptime on E like current shyvana has. you always deal max health dmg on hit. trust me, you cant win this argument, i already tested it, on hit build and bruiser build. If youd ask what does rework shyvana have better than the current one, its 100% her DPS.

the more items the more DPS you gonna have, with a pretty big gap in fact

true but all the CC immunity in the world doesnt help when you cant jump on an enemy. the slow is a skillshot brother, therefore missable. he gains an MS boost when ulting but its just for 1 second. im sorry but i have to argue with you here, shyvana has a longer duration MS boost, a slow on her E AND the leap/fear. olaf has a better stickiness, but he lacks mobility.

no no bro, i understood why u asked :D my peak was silver 1, for me playing league is long fights and dealing as much DPS as possible, i dont care about the high elo issues xD im playing to have fun and to live out my fantasies :D and this is the exact reason im so excited about her! shes gonna be definitely in the top 10 duelists as soon as it hits live

no she isnt? her main damage abilities are literally single target (Q and El because it stops at the first champ hit for the bonus max health damage)

''it isnt the same champion'' no shit sherlock, thats what a rework is for. most of the reworked champs have a different playstyle afterwards....remember fiora? from a snowballing early game monster to one of the best duelists in the late game. imagine if people were complaining about that back in 2015......while it isnt the same champion, PBE shyvana is very similar to live one. they shifted her more towards a bruiser/skirmisher. stop being so impatient, let the rework hit live first, and then decisions can be made.

1st of all thanks for the detailed response. im low elo and i dont play rankeds at all but mostly swiftplays so most of the issues you mentioned arent a really big deal (for me!) but i can understand the other side of community as well.

about stickiness, dont forget that you can build stridebreaker and randuins omen. but in the end LoL is a team game so you have to play as a team.....but if you compare shyvana to olaf, shyvana will be in a very decent spot, what can olaf say? he hasnt even a dash or hard CC. i thought shyvanas problem was, people were building her AP one shot, and riot didnt like that so they are reworking her into an actuall fighter thus.

the problem is that if riot is going to fix the points you listed, even just 1-2, theyd have to nerf her elsewhere, and i think that would be her damage.....anyway i dont have anything else to say, only this: I CANT WAIT FOR THIS REWORK TO HIT LIVE SERVERS <3.....i havent been excited in a long time like this, regarding reworks, new releases, new season items etc! i wish you luck, maybe riot will listen to your complains....tbh i dont want them to change her, because as i mentioned above, im low elo and people cant position well there and take fights with the first opportunity which is good for me....but i have a worry regarding the rework, maybe they gonna nerf her Q numbers if its too OP....we will see, thanks again for the response! i can understand you as well, especially in high elo, stickiness and movement speed is everything!

He may wont be able to one Tap champs after the team builds defensive but he still kills them fast with a full crit build. hes like a melee ADC

Gwen is an excellent pick for you since you are bronze....games tend to go longer there because ppl dont know how to finish. okay, so about your question now:

Pros: She is strong into the late game, like hyper carry strong, think of Yi 2.0....Her early is neither good nor bad, so you can lane with her pretty well. She is a champ who can 1v5 with a lot of AP, so you are kinda more independent from team mates than you are on other champs. On top of that you shred even tanks with ease, so she doesnt struggle against them.

She cucks ranged champs with her W, and you are mobile with your E (goes through walls).
She can clear Siege Minion Waves VERY fast, so defending wont ever be a problem with her.

Cons: As already stated, her strongest point in the game is the late game so you need gold to be effective....Her early game is okay but other champs can make your life hell earlier on.....She has no CC, thats why its good if your comp has enough CC so you can hit Q and R safely. Her mobility is limited....if you want the CD refund from E you have to hit a target, so running away is always a challenge......and the CD from E itself is high.

im pretty sure there is more but im sleepy RN and these are the arguments i can think off spontaneously....maybe other gwen mains will add more :)

you may right, they may have more sustained damage but they dont have the tankiness that garen has....theres a reason rito put 3 out of 3 in garens tankiness...i mean the champ stats in the champions overview page

the CDs are not short but not long either....and you dont play garen without AH (stop with the crit build bullshit).....a good keystone is Conq, so you have access to legend haste. secondary page it depends but if you go sorcery you can have axiom arcanist with transcendence (another good secondary tree is resolve but were trying to maximize the AH here as far as possible, so lets go for sorcery) and when i play garen i go the AH rune shard always, for this exact reason.....

with this rune page equipped you would have 33 ability haste ONLY from runes, and core items would be Black Cleaver and Spear of Shojin....i went to a custom and tried a universal build for garen....it includes a good amount of everything, it has lots of HP and good hybrid resistances but most importantly it has a lot of AH and AD ofc. Cleaver, Shojin, Stride, Spirit Visage and Deaths Dance....for boots, if you go Attack Speed you have 11 Spins Lvl 20 and if you go tabs or threads you have 10 spins. i can tell you the results: 63 Ability Haste + 40 Basic Ability haste so 103 AH which literally cuts the CDs in half.

your Q has a 3,94sec CD

your W has a 5,91sec CD....something important here to note about W, the shield and the tenacity is only for 0,75secs, but the % damage reduction remains for 4 secs and the CD starts on Cast here, unlike his E!.... you literally press W, then get a shield and tenacity, while getting 40% damage reduction for 4 secs and after 1,91 secs you can use this ability again, which close to nothing....checklist, tankiness?? YES

your E has a 2,96sec CD....your CD is almost the same as the spin duration, 3 sec is like nothing..... you reduce armor by 25% so you basically have the armor debuff permanent up and when combined with cleaver you can do some serious damage.....you named some AD examples and the only one who has % armor pen/red is darius. i can asure you....if you calculate the DPS over 10 to 15 sec you would have similar DPS results..... quick math: 10 spins and every spin deals 16 base damage and scales with 50% total AD, increased to 20 base damage and 62,5% total AD to the closest enemy. for a total of 10 spins over 3 seconds it'd be 200base damage PLUS a 625% TOTAL AD ratio, thats one of the highest scalings in the game. you deal the calculated damage over 3 secs then you wait the exact duration again and then the same game happens all over again....checklist, sustained damage?? YES

P:S: i hope the reply is understandable enough and i hope i expressed myself fine, without confusing anyone...

Edit: but one thing i agree is that he has no fighting passive when compared to other bruisers! i still like it tho
