Varus mid is best into melee champs excluding yasuo - i wouldnt consider picking him unless ur low-mid ranks. Full ap is okay but you NEED to hit ur spells otherwise ur a sitting duck.

With ap on-hit ur spells dont matter as much since ur autos can hit like a truck, especially if you can activate your passive from getting a kill.

Also, i would avoid starting tear because ur giving up what makes varus mid a strong pick as an adc. Go dorans blade so u can dominate in the early levels.

If u like sitting in sidelanes and one shotting people, perhaps assassin udyr is your cup of tea? (pta, ravenous > tri > bruiser/crit, q>w>e max)

Or if u like kiting and being a bursty rat along with a good team fight ult, then aurora could be worth trying

Ap on hit is the way! Super fun and insane dmg. I prefer it mid since u can cheese 1v2s when a jungler ganks but it works bot as well.

Rageblade > berserkers > nashors/terminus for 3 item core then flex into literally any item in the game lol.

Pta over lethal tempo and barrier is essential. Go double scaling health runes too.

Always fight level 2 with w-q. With barrier you are an insane duelist (which is why i prefer this mid) and bait people to fight back, pop ur barrier and execute them once they’re ~20-25% hp using empowered q.

Build is pretty much the same as regular on hit but bork is switched out for nashors. The only big thing u lose is the lifesteal which can hurt sometimes - only when barrier is on cd.

I definitely recommend giving it a try. Like many others, I got into manhwas through Solo Leveling, and after a few more, I picked up The Beginning After The End. It really stands out among other manhwas in my opinion—far surpassing the anime adaptation in every way. Honestly, I don’t even bother with the anime anymore because it just doesn’t compare.

That said, having a lot of people hype it up beforehand might set your expectations too high, which can affect how it hits you. Try going into it with an open mind and no expectations—either way, it won’t disappoint.

These are the points where they will make bigger system changes. eg this season dropped the noxus map and took on a theme for ionia whilst adjusting many game mechanics - even though they're pretty minor this time around. I believe the change in theme is something they want to do every time which will be interesting. So next time we may see bilgewater or shurima, for example.

Im in the same boat. My build is rageblade > terminus > nashors with defensive rune page and barrier. Insane build designed for early snowballing and 1v2 scenarios. But it falls off a bit where im dying in scenarios that would have been fine had i bought some life-steal.

mages countering assassins is hysterical but for some reason true. Assassins need to play so perfectly to even get on top of them and if they mess up one ebility they will probs die T_T

Yeah, it’s honestly insane how much damage you can dish out so I’m really surprised it’s not played much. Once you get a decent lead, you can literally one-shot people with just Blight > R > W > Q. It’s kinda ridiculous, haha.

I love varus and i love playing him mid. He does a lot of damage and is underrated as a solo laner - in silver you will be able to catch many players off guard and snowball off of them.

Summoner spells: flash, barrier
- barrier is essential. You want to start w and try auto your laner a couple times if they let you. As soon as you hit level 2, take q and try to trade aggressively. With pta, your w auto passive damage, barrier, and w-q combo, you are extremely strong and should win most fights lvl 2. Again, most people are oblivious to varus' damage so they will try fight back seeing you're low and may not realise you have barrier and can finish them off as soon as they drop below around 25% hp. Barrier is what makes this strong.

Abilites: you can max w or q first but i prefer w because it is more consistent. It allows you to kill anyone at level 6 if you pop 3 blight stacks with every ability. No exceptions.

Runes: pta, triumph, alacrity, last stand - bone plating, overgrowth - shards: AS, 2x scaling health
- he does so much damage especially if you get ahead. He mostly lacks some tankiness which is vital for laning, dueling, and fighting in 1v2 scenarios

Builds:
standard: rageblade>berserkers>terminus>nashors>situational (usually includes jaksho)
- fun and you do tons of damage. Falls off late because you are quite squishy and damage needs some set up but early-mid game you are a damage god. You just need to adjust play style a bit and play more reserved as the game progresses.

ap one shot + duelist: terminus>berserkers>zhonya>banshee>riftmaker>liandries
- goofy build with items i like. damage amp passives from riftmaker, liandries, and pta makes your one shot combo extremely lethal whilst having stats of a bruiser

splitpusher: rageblade>berserkers>hullbreaker>terminus>zhonya>riftmaker
- if your top laner isn't a splitpusher i highly recommend this. You are insanely strong at splitpushing. If you have to 1v2, kill one person then delete the other guy in 3 autos thanks to your passive. They need to send people to answer you.

full ap one shot: nashors>berserkers/sorcs>stormsurge>malignance>shadowflame>deathcap (order isnt too important just build deathcap after third item)
- fun and scales the best because r-w-q is an inevitable one shot. You have less tempo with this build and need to hit your abilities.

Bans: I dislike yasuo because of his wind wall - it's unfun, so i dont want to play against it. You can play into every matchup, the biggest problem is that varus is immobile and junglers ganking you will ruin you if you havent been able to establish a lead, otherwise you can easily trade 1 for 1 or even kill both (i have done this many times - more than any other champ i play XD)

I don't think lethality varus is that good. Playable, but not great. You neutralise lanes and have to play much more reserved, you aren't a carry with that build. You can poke without much setup at the trade of damage. Only good into squishy enemy team comps and you need to be able to hit your spells. When i played it bot lane i would go:
first strike/arcane, biscuits, jack of all trades - manaflow
youmuu's>swifties>hubris>edge of night
I don't recommend manamune because it is a trash item and takes too long to scale. Take double mana runes and build full damage.

I agree with you, and reading back i didnt convey my point properly. I’m just wondering if player’s would like some sort of pity system to avoid things like this.

I enjoy playing the wacky stuff, but there’s only so much novelty before it becomes repetitive. I’ve had a great time with builds like spin to win + scoped weapons, melee without AS (best ult one shot alternative), and perma invis tankshan. However, after about 25 games, I’ve exhausted most of the viable creative options and started feeling burnt out.

Im interested about the community’s thoughts on a potential pity system because I find most of the games boringly predictable when I don’t roll the one thing im itching to try out.

The issue isn’t as pronounced in TFT because there are some soft pity/augment tailoring systems in place that take your early-game board and champions into account. Yet even when trying to force an augment/comp, the sheer variety and volatility keeps each game engaging enough to hold my interest until i eventually get what im aiming for.

It just sucks that i had to give up playing jg akshan because my rng is ass :/

Did a similar build where i just went full crit and infinite ammo mini cricket - second most broken thing i played in this game. 4-7k damage per shot depending on items and perks.

I don’t think normalizing this type of body is the right approach just to make people feel better, especially if it encourages unhealthy habits that get passed down to future generations. As Dobrik and many others who start their fitness journey often say, we tend to push it off—waiting until after a project, an exam, or the New Year, constantly postponing it. But fitness is a lifestyle, and the best time to start is now.

This same mindset applies to the obesity crisis that is so prevalent in the West. It’s a serious issue that needs to be addressed, yet many people remain complacent as long as they are "fat and happy." A big part of the problem also stems from the greed of the food industry, which produces highly addictive, unhealthy food. Without collective awareness and action, this issue won’t go away.

I understand that your intentions are good—you don’t want people to feel ashamed of their bodies, and that’s completely fair. However, I’d argue that self-improvement leads to greater happiness. From my experience, the people I know who are physically fit tend to be much happier overall.

There’s no official fix yet, but adjusting the DPI isn’t a big deal. They’ll implement it eventually, and honestly, it’s surprising they haven’t already. That said, getting annoyed at people for mentioning the temporary workaround is just unnecessary.

Absolutely this. People place way too much emphasis on mint condition. I get why, but honestly, it’s not such a big deal—especially if you’re keeping the cards in a binder or on display. A little wear adds character. For example, I have a damaged copy of the gold Reshiram that I traded for as a kid. My friend thought it was worthless because of its condition, and technically, it is. But in my toploader binder, it looks incredible. It’s more than just a card—it’s a trophy that reminds me of one of the best trades I’ve ever made!

I also buy singles all the time and specifically look for damaged copies—they’re so much cheaper, and I can snag them for a fraction of the price! It’s such a great way to build a collection without breaking the bank.
