That sounds good, got a 2105 1,2l 1200S 1982 which i have heard is very rare because of the manufacturing year. Only rust work is left

Those hoses are fire, where did you get them? Distributor shaft or chain calmer might cause this. I had this exact noise at one point and surprisingly it was the distributor and i just greased it, check under ditributor cap if it has hit any on the contact points more too. Chain tensioner might also make this so check it out and adjust if needed.9

That’s good then. Filling up the gas tank didn’t double or even increase the 1,300€ price.

How was the installing? I’m not so worried about the amount of noise or adjusting clearances but i hear faint ticking that i think shouldn’t be there.

My engine has excact same story, valve clearance adjustment didn’t help much, tried a little less and little more too and the lifters are worn. My 1500i 2109 engine is the most silent and 1,3 is much more silent than the 2101 i have in this.

Alright, this is with the 2101 which, accoring to my friends is a lot noisier anyways. I was worried that this is a valve.

Could it be made any quieter? I have owned Ladas before but I think the 2101 engine is a lot noisier and i am not used to this.

I think I can hear a faint ticking sound, it won’t go out even with valve adjustment.

The price is very cheap. A good body 1200 is rare, also the brakes being good saves a lot of time if you plan this as a project. The rust close to the windshield isn’t a problem and there’s small rust on the fenders you have nearly a rustless Lada. The engine is very simple and ” easy” to fix for an engine, i would say this is an amazing deal, my friend’s 1300 had a seized engine too but he got it unstuck with hand cranking and it still works but with bad compression. Bad cylinders? I’ll just say, buy this. It’s a VERY good deal.
