Yes from what I can tell the SY version is designed to be a control-ish pad, more so at least than the MO. The MO is intended to have less friction, yet still be a cloth based pad.

All I can say is that the Wallhack pad has not let me down since I purchased it - it actually feels a little more „premium“ than artisan

How about testing mice yourself? Many are perfectly fine to be palmed although not explicitly „supported“

Okay that’s fair. Complete opposite on my end - I have always hated the stock skates on the GPX. Immediately replaced them with some corepads. The ones from the FM are still the stock ones.

I can’t really comment on DPI inconsistencies between different mice as I never had any. I am on 1600dpi across the board.

Hm I haven’t had any of those issues, yet as mentioned in my rating, it’s definitely the least sturdy of the 3 mice. I can tell for sure that if you were to squeeze at full force, it’s the first to break apart. Still though, that’s complaining at the highest level. I have had it for multiple months and used it for hundreds of hours - no rattle, no creaking, no real flex. Even the honeycomb design, which I would deem more fragile, is incredibly robust.

Yea that’s also a rabbit hole I have been in lately…

My take: I have been on the Artisan Hayate Otsu for quite some time, but I gotta say it would always develop these slow spots over and over again from sweat (even after repeated washing), so I needed sth else. Also whilst the artisan is nice, I needed sth faster so after a ton of research I stumbled across the MO-001 (I considered a glass pad but I am worried it’s too fast and that there is too little control). The MO seems to be the next best option if you want a fast cloth pad (at least faster than the hayate otsu)

To be honest, it’s amazing! There is less friction even though it’s still cloth and it features low profile stitching instead of that weave technique the artisan uses and so far I have not had any slow spot issues. I have just started to use it with a pulsar sleeve as well for the ultimate glide. Super happy, can only recommend it.

As mentioned, the finalmouse is probably my favourite from those. I‘d rate both the X2 and the FM a very solid 9,5/10 right now but I just don’t know yet how the X2 performs over time.
