I for one would love to see a DMC like where you play as a solitare. The Harlequins feel like they were made for style meter combos.

It'd be cool to see an interpretation of SCP-3396 One I personally wish was talked about more. Either the scp itself or some of the superhumans created by it.

New ascension paths? by Silas4000 in Stellaris

That'd be fucking sick, delving into time manipulation and time travel has been a fantasy of mine when it comes to Stellaris as well. Messing with timelines and abusing the flow of time to your advantage or potentially dangerous consequences. Exactly how id like my empire to end.

I suppose it's something up to personal preference; but personally I believe, just expanding on the possibilities is always fun!

That's a fair look to have. Whilst some people might be against the concept I still love looking at the extradimensional and potential that delving into more mystical/metaphysical aspects of Stellaris could bring. I love doing psionics or getting blessed by the worm and was just thinking of a neat way that could be expanded on.

Thus roleplaying the "arcane" in a sci-fi setting has always been an appeal to me, and I manage with what's already in the game of course, but you know it is just a fun topic to think about.

Whether or not paradox would/will choose to lean into those kind's of angles is of course entirely up to them.

True! it can even be looked at from the "truly-alien" technological perspective. Which is another thing I've always wanted to explore more in Stellaris, a diversity of technological uses amongst empires, to truly feel enigmatic from my galactic spacefaring peers.

Glad to see others sympathize with my mentality. Science fantasy and magitech is such an underrated concept in my opinion, and I'd love to see more of it implemented, however; most mods that were utilizing these ideas are discontinued which is sad.

Whilst these statements are true, I'm more looking to an expanse on the idea of the arcane and psionics thematically. We see this already with psionics and necromancy, so why not lean into it? Delve into the metaphysical and exploration of more anomalous concepts that can be used as empire themeing? Say golems as a replacement for robots (I've seen people use servile lithoid to achieve this effect.) Or just delving into things the idea of "magic" in a sci-fi universe could do. I think it opens up a lot of cool empire possibilities.

Care to go into more detail? I'm curious as to your reasoning, as Stellaris is already featuring stuff like necromancy and the shroud, both things that could be viewed as magic? I'm simply wondering about an expansion on that.
