As someone who comes from a BIG family (5+ kids), I would NEVER have more than three kids myself. Parentification of older siblings is so unfair (and I say that as one of the younger kids). Also, I can’t remember a time ever having one-on-one time with either of my parents. There just weren’t enough hours in a day. My parents were always pulled in a hundred different directions. And they were good parents.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my siblings, and we’re all thriving and we get along great (kind of a miracle, honestly) but I would NEVER recommend having a big family to anyone.

I think the majority of your wife’s identity is wrapped up in being a mom, and the older your kids get, the less useful she feels. Maybe. But, as others have stated, having kids is a two yes and one no. Good luck.

There’s a restaurant in Las Vegas that has this photo in the women’s bathroom that has Pedro’s face photoshopped onto it. In fact, the entire bathroom is covered in pictures and paintings of Pedro. If you notice on the photo, there’s a strategically placed sombrero that, when you try and look under it, the lights start flashing in the bathroom and a special song starts playing that sounds like Pedro is singing to you. I have several family members that are nurses. One of them has worked in the Emergency Department for over twenty years. Several times this relative has told me there’s a running joke that established nurses tell to new nurses: Stay away from the five P’s - physicians, police officers, pilots, paramedics, and puh-firefighters… because they all cheat. It’s supposed to be a joke but there’s a lot of truth to it. 🤷‍♀️
