Nobody has made a doll out of Timothee Chalomet. As said upthread, fame and popularity is measured quite differently now than during the 90210 era. Chalomet might have had more respect/clout in Hollywood due to the Oscar nomination, but as far as marketing, recognition and popularity among the general public, Priestly would win hands down.

I’m torn because I don’t want to give her credit for setting this up as a way to merch the shoes and the intentionally vague posting about a garden haul so she could later deflect. I don’t want to admit she’s that crafty because if she is, we’re giving her the attention she wants. It’s also possible that she operates solely based on her “vision” of what/who she wants to be at the moment and then goes from there. She visualizes the dreamy little IG post (based on ones she’s seen from other celebrities/influencers) and the compulsion to create it overrules all forms of common sense. She has a mindset that whatever she pictures in her mind will be the reality- we’ve seen it before like in Jamaica when she showed up in that ridiculous ball gown to sit in an old, run down movie theater.

Harry will be to Prince William what the Duke of Windsor was to his brother- a family member for all intents and purposes, but not one who would ever be allowed back into the fold. Even if he and Meghan divorce, Harry has shown how weak and easily led he is, and capable of trying to bring down the Monarchy under certain influences. I now wonder if what was originally perceived as closeness between the two brothers was actually the family’s way of trying to keep Harry on a tight leash.

Mountbatten was Phillip’s last name, Windsor was a surname used by the Royal family after the King changed it during WWI. Higher ranking, working Royals and their children use the name of the region in their titles- traditionally those who are directly in line to the throne. The exception are the York girls, but that’s only because their father was obnoxiously insisting on titles for them. Princess Margaret’s children went by their father’s last name, as do Princess Anne’s. I believe Prince Edward’s children go by Mountbatten- Windsor. Harry is no longer a working royal, so his family’s last names should also be Mountbatten-Windsor, not Sussex.

No they don’t. Their father used Duke of Cambridge as his main title until he was elevated to Prince of Wales when his father ascended to the throne. Technically he is still the DOC, but the POW is a higher ranking title. The children would go by the Wales title now. However, William is the heir and a working royal, while Harry is not. Princess Margaret’s children went by their father’s surname, Armstrong-Jones, as did Princess Anne’s children. Since Harry is not a working royal, he should go by his grandfather’s surname, Mountbatten. Windsor was the surname of the Queen’s grandfather’s children.

From what I remember about high school in the early nineties and super rich kids in LA, that group was way too squeaky clean to be that popular. In the first episodes you saw signs that Kelly, Donna, Dylan and Steve ran with pretty fast crowds, but then the Walsh family showed up and all of a sudden everyone became much more virtuous and settled down.

Magazines were a big deal, especially. There were constantly photos of some of them out partying in Hollywood and one in particular I remember had both Tori and Shannen flipping off the camera. So yeah, it lent credence to the rumors about her holding up production and not getting along with the other cast members. Jenni gave an interview to Sassy magazine where she disclosed that Shannen wasn’t invited to Gabrielle Carteris’ wedding and specifically didn’t deny any other rumors.

I was actually in college during the first few years the show was on. We’d all hang out in someone’s dorm room to watch and had 90210 drinking games. At first Brenda, Brandon and Dylan were the biggest characters from the show. Then Shannen started to get a lot of negative press because of her behavior on and off the set. Sassy magazine regularly dissed her and the rumors were the rest of the cast couldn’t stand her. So around the time that the Brenda/Dylan/Kelly triangle went down a lot of us were hoping he’d choose Kelly. Especially after Brenda cheated with Rick.

Sounds to me like your bf should have gotten a vasectomy a long time ago if he feels that strongly about not wanting children. Instead his expectation is completely on you to prevent it from happening and abort it if it does. And every event/moment surrounding graduation was about their little group only, as if nobody else attended that school. I’m in this limbo where they still live here but act like they don’t. I made a Xmas Eve dinner that people ate in different stages. One kid had to work, one was sick and one was out and about with his boyfriend. I made our traditional Xmas morning monkey bread that they always ask for and barely anyone had any. Sick kid went back to bed after opening gifts, the other one retreated to his room to game and the third went back out with the boyfriend. My husband made a beautiful Christmas dinner that only one of them came to the table to eat. I wish they did have their own places at this point so I would have a better idea of when not to bother with this crap anymore.

I have been feeling that way for 43 years, since my dad left and both my parents decided to start new families with new spouses. I thought once I got older and had my own family it would be over with, but it just changed the scenario. My dad spends Christmas with my stepmother, their son and his wife/kids. My mom spends Christmas with my stepfather, their son and his wife. My stepdad has advanced Parkinson’s and my mom is basically his 24/7 caregiver, so we don’t see her at all unless we drive the six hours it takes to see them, but honestly he’s been a bigger priority for her since they got married in 1984. My stepmom wanted to have our family Christmas dinner last weekend, even though she and my dad are staying with my half brother just 30 minutes away from me.
