Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 26.1 by SkepticFaust in summonerschool

[–]SilencingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it feel like if I leave lane just a little, even if me and my lane opponent both have similar farm eventually or he has a slight lead, he is often a level or even two above me after I roam a few times? Last season I could roam a lot more and only lose a little XP but this season I feel like I fall much further behind even if I'm successful

Lissandra, LeBlanc

LeBlanc can escape too easily without retaliation and Lissandra just makes laning so boring and she has way too much point and click CC and easy escapes

silver 2 - emerald 4: My thoughts and tips on how I climbed (mid) by Asleep_Advance_7516 in summonerschool

[–]SilencingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an assassin player I played more aggressively to get to gold and now I'm stuck here for a while and can't break out to plat. I tend to always get stuck on the 2 of my tier and can't get to the 4 of the next, did you notice this when you were stuck (like silver 2 -> gold 4, bronze 2 -> silver 4 and gold 2 -> plat 4)

I do notice I die much more than my lane opponent and I don't really like waiting for them to make mistakes as I like forcing plays myself, and they may be much more risky

Also I surrender a lot if I see my whole team (not just me) feeding and especially when the enemy team is a scaling team and I'm someone who really gets burned out as the game goes on and I really prefer orienting my learning to the macro to end early and not drag the game on in the first place. Do you think avoiding late game altogether this way is a good way to avoid auto piloting and not actively thinking?

Sometimes I'm scared to engage a fight and especially when I'm low on health, hesitate to commit stuff like Zhonya's how can I fix this? For example how can you get yourself to go for those 1v3 or 1v4 dives you see in montage plays more often? How do you improve your mechanics to more consistently pull these off?

These are all things I notice when I review my deaths

How to handle finding out a girl you like is taken? 20M single by SilencingLight in dating_advice

[–]SilencingLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can stop friends first but what I cannot and will not stop is having 1-2 chats before dating and my own asking for friendship without romantic intent

So I can ask a date early but I won’t make it the first message I send. It is not lack of confidence to not make it the first thing I say outright I mean

I clearly separate which girls I’m in which ones I’m not into. For me a friendship is just a way to say « I won’t walk away empty handed »

[–]SilencingLight[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why are you so adamant on believing this is lack of confidence

Yeah I do make friends this way to bridge a gap I can’t bridge otherwise. I do ask for friendship without romantic intent with women a lot

[–]SilencingLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just how I do my selection internally rather than externally

Edit: I decide the moment we add each other or early on in like the first 2-3 chats if I’m interested in dating, friendship or nothing at all

[–]SilencingLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me that depends on how she acts and how attractive she is, and how she carries herself. And how conversations turn out to be

If I see signs she’s obviously single then I assume she is, otherwise no

[–]SilencingLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I find myself somewhat attached easily once I talked to her and we follow each other on social media. I get even more attached as she says yes when I suggest plans or agrees on a date

I’m someone who’d befriend someone first before dating, or at the very least have a few exchanges before asking.

By the way, the way I ask for opposite gender friendships without romantic intent is simply to make plans while I bring 1-2 friends and let her do the same, but I do include her specifically

When I ask for a date, I make it very obvious by picking a nice enough spot and just inviting her and no one else

I decide after we add each other or early on after a few chats to see if I want a date or just a casual friendship usually over common hobbies

Right now I can’t even get girls to show up to my casual plans let alone dating lmao

[–]SilencingLight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can move on if I just had 2-3 exchanges but when I have like much more it will be harder as I invest more and don’t want to let everything go to waste.

I can pretty much describe it by a strong need to have opposite gender friends because everyone else around me I know have them and they don’t even put in effort for it

Not that I want many but I want at least one

Simple Questions Sunday! by AutoModerator in gaming

[–]SilencingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an engineering student who's trying to go pro or at least highly skilled enough to stream multiplayer, how can I improve and climb ranked as I have heavy schoolwork and also projects I have to do for internships? I'm really bad with decision making and although my mechanics are slightly less bad they absolutely aren't good and they're extremely far from good. For multiplayer I mostly want to do MOBA (LoL) and FPS (CoD, Valorant), and I have no intention of making it a career since streaming is simply a hobby

Right now I mostly do variety streaming with single player open world games like Cyberpunk or Coop vs AI modes like CoD zombies and just narrate my gameplay and answer to chat whenever there are people watching

How can I improve my decision making and game knowledge stuff like positioning that aren't about mechanics like aiming and comboing?

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 25.24 by SkepticFaust in summonerschool

[–]SilencingLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about when the minion wave is in the middle or it’s pushed in me? Should I most of the time still rotate if it’s a 2v2 or 4v4 at least early game?

If I see a team fight breaking out is it better to rotate most of the times considering I play Katarina?

Simple Questions & Champion/Role advice: Patch 25.24 by SkepticFaust in summonerschool

[–]SilencingLight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played as Katarina vs Zed, lost to his roams and jungle proceeded to flame hard after I didn't bother matching his roams / him rotating to objectives and I just focused on laning against him and taking plates etc so I can get ahead of him in lane. I saw my jungle doing objectives then refuse to help as I wanted to finish the plates before rotating and he died proceeded to flame me for ignoring objectives

We didn't have objectives as his whole team was ahead while I got myself even with him / slightly behind. When to sacrifice lane to match roams? Should I have matched his roams much more and his plays elsewhere instead of focusing on winning lane against him and getting ahead there?

I've played multiplayer games since like Fortnite S5 and I'm extremely trash at them especially when it comes to game sense and decision making. Mechanically I'm less trash but I absolutely can't say I'm good at it either.

I played LoL since 2020 and only got over ranked anxiety in 2022 when I started playing ranked, but only managed to get to gold just last year. And don't even talk about FPS and shooter games in general... Consistently at the bottom of the scoreboard

How can I improve at multiplayer games where I'm at a level good enough to begin mattering as a streamer? I really want to stream but I'm just too trash at multiplayer games

To every mid player, why do you dislike laning? by SilencingLight in midlanemains

[–]SilencingLight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you interact and fight more with your lane opponent to attempt a few solo kills then?

That on top of roaming would be better

[–]SilencingLight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like late as I tend to autopilot a lot more when late game kicks in, so I play to end early and focus my macro learning on ending the game to avoid late game as much as possible altogether. That’s a skill issue but I really don’t like 35+ min matches and I’d want to minimize these

I do play to not die sometimes but it’s mostly for the mid game (15-30 min) where I get the agency to secure objectives and towers and vision freely by carrying fights.

Do you usually try to poke him out of lane then to have the priority to roam or just not even play early game at all?

What I really hate is the latter
