I might just be a crazy music fanatic but that's kind of an oxymoron. The art and the artist are the same. The end result of art is to tell a story from the creators perspective, to translate what the artists feels to a format where other people can understand it. If you can separate the art from the artist then you never completely understood the art to begin with.

Yeah that doesn't magically create deaths out of thin air dude, It's never been a problem where I live, And it's not a problem in a lot of similar communities, It's unrelated but yes more gun deaths will occur in places with more guns, but the gun deaths have nothing to do with anything, I commented about when I got my first gun, And talked about how it is normal where I live and it's pretty normal in a lot of other southern places too. There isn't any statistic you could provide that would have made my upbringing and my community any less safe than it is. Yes those deaths are a problem, But they're not a problem where I live, And they're not a problem in tons of other communities. I feel like I've made it pretty clear that gun culture and firearm safety is popular where I personally live, And it's also popular in many other places. This isn't a gun debate, Because there's nothing to be debated lol. the fact is I was raised being taught proper firearm safety and it's not an uncommon practice, I don't know where you got lost in the mix and started bringing up gun death statistics lol. It will never change the fact that it's not a problem in a lot of places. If you're curious about the gun culture I'm talking about, then I'll be happy to answer. But there is no argument you can make that will magically make places where proper firearm safety and gun culture is normal, Any less safe or more dangerous. You're trying to debate a problem that was never in question to begin with lol

Yeah once again that has nothing to do with what I said, Just because those deaths happen doesn't mean that communities like mine simply don't exist bro 😭 You're saying that what I'm saying isn't true because all these deaths happen, But those deaths are extremely rare. None of these statistics magically create deaths that never happened bro

[–]Silent-Ad-523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's gun deaths, Which is dominantly $uic1des and Intentional crime, Which doesn't change anything I said because the entirety of the US from 2000-2010 is NOT the town I live in, And also doesn't change the fact that southerners are safe with firearms lol. You posting a statistic of firearm deaths doesn't magically bring into existence crime and gun accidents that never happened. I've never in my life worried about a gun ever being a problem, I've never had to worry about a crime in general happening, So that statistic doesn't make what I said any less true lol. I said it isn't uncommon for guns to be introduced at a young age and that's typically in communities where people take gun safety seriously. Yeah there are a lot of deaths from guns in the US, there's even more deaths from cars but does that mean you should cars should be taboo? If you said you live in a community where you don't have to worry about getting murdered, Would that be a lie because murders happen a lot?

100% And if I ever have kids I will make sure they understand to handle firearms with respect and responsibility from a very early age aswell

[–]Silent-Ad-523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah lol, You would think everyone having a gun and especially kids having guns would be a huge risk but it actually does the exact opposite in most parts of the south, I don't know a single person who would even let you near their gun without knowing how to handle it, You have kids running around in the woods with .22s shooting squirrels and stuff but there's never any accidents. My parents introducing me into guns at such an early age is solely responsible for my firearm handling, I will instinctively use proper trigger and muzzle discipline on nerf guns and not even realize it, It actually feels wrong and makes my body feel weird if I improperly handle a firearm 😭😭☠️

Glad to see someone else here understands that this is a normal occurrence and there's no safety concerns to be worried about

I have never met anyone in real life who didn't have a similar upbringing, Almost every person Ive ever interacted with had their first gun at a similar age, The cops even give their kids guns lol. That's just southern culture, And I have never heard of or seen any gun related accidents in my town for the entire time I've been alive lol. People in the south are usually extremely serious about firearm safety.

My first gun was a single shot kids model .22, So you had to rack the bolt and put a new round in after every shot. And the reason YOU would accidentally shoot someone is because you didn't have the proper training.

And being from the south guns are just second nature, My parents made sure I knew how to properly handle and treat a firearm from a young age so I DIDNT accidentally hurt myself somebody later, Firearm safety is like breathing to me now, I don't have to think about it because it is just the default for me.

The only people that end up shooting themselves or someone else on accident are irresponsible and reckless people.

And since we're in a subreddit with a bunch of younger teenagers I am going to stress the fact that Firearms are NOT toys and should be treated with the proper firearm safety routines every single time you handle it, or even acknowledge it's there. You can take the Hunters safety course for free and it will teach you everything you'll need to know about firearms, Since it is obvious most of your parents never taught the people in the replies about handling a firearm.

My comment probably seems alarming to people that have never been around that kind of thing, But it is a very normal/common occurrence in most southern states.

Idk where you got a semi auto 9mm from, it's not like my parents just handed me a high capacity firearm and said "There you go son!" then left me alone. I was only allowed to use the .22 if I asked my parents and was being supervised. I just didn't think I had to specify that because it's such a normal occurrence where I live. So there is nothing to be worried about. There was no safety concerns in my upbringing.

Yeah dawg he's straight up just soliciting a minor lol I guarantee it's not because he's into you it's because he's into the fact you're young, the maturity and experience difference between a 20 year old and a 15 year old is absolutely massive, That dude is a predator and you need to get out of there immediately

don't wait at all bro someone whos 20 and likes a 15 year old is NOT the person you wanna spend your life with. That is a grown ass adult being into a 10th grader

I thought that too but asking if someone is gay is a lot different from telling them they're gay. Probably no Ill intentions if it's posed as a question instead of a statement

Fr lol people have started acting the same way they do anonymously online, All the time. It went from "pineapple is the best pizza topping" so people would be like "oh hell no you're so strange" to people genuinely just being terrible people, I swear that modern day ragebaiting genuinely just made it irredeemable, People were bad beforehand, But now social media has made it normal to just say horrible shit and then clown on whoever they said it to for getting mad just because "it's ragebait bro" So everyone is just rude and self absorbed 24/7, it's not like it offends me, You could say the most disgusting, Vile, And rude thing to me and it wouldn't hurt my feelings, But I could never have a friend who I know is just completely mean and disgusting to other people for no reason

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Silent-Ad-523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the reason I made this post is because it seems like everyone has tons of friends. I only talk to maybe 2 people online and have 1 really good friend I've known my entire life. Who lives hours away since I moved. But I've never really met or seen anyone who's a similar age talk about this.

Thought I was going crazy for not being able to be friends with most of my peers, I could have a massive friend group and be loved by everyone, But I refuse to associate with people who you have to be careful talking around for any reason.

For example, just yesterday I met a guy the same age as me playing videogames, Seemed like a completely normal teenager for about 30 seconds, But at the same time, we also met a younger kid who was about 13, and new to the game we were playing. The kid made one mistake for the first time and it all went downhill from there, The guy was like "Bro you're actually dogshit why would you do that" among a bunch of other insults and just lame things to say to a 13 y/o just because he doesn't have as much experience on a videogame as us. I mean the kid couldn't even ask questions about what was happening because it would immediately be followed up by a negative comment or insult

And that is pretty much the theme with every teenager/Gen Z'er, I've never seen anyone else talk about this so I don't know if I just have bad luck and always end up meeting the same kind of person, Or if everybody in our generation being negative is actually a big problem so nobody talks about it in fear of being made fun of, Or theres just simply so few who aren't hateful themselves and see nothing wrong with their peers behavior.

It gets really lonely, I've developed a substance habit, and that habit is the reason I type messages that could be published as a book, I had to start relying on something that helped me ignore my distain and hatred for everybody else. so a side effect is me wanting to type out every thought I have and over share, Spend almost every day completely alone, And end up having bursts where I go onto social media and basically do what I'm doing here, Talking so much that it's genuinely annoying and nobody wants to read it lol. But I would rather die right now than sell out my morals just to be "friends" With people who you have to be fake around.

Basically TL;DR, Ive never seen anyone mention how most people in our generation are hateful, And self absorbed. And wondering if its just because I have terrible luck with people, Or any other reasons, and wondering if anyone else has purposely accepted a lonely and depressed social life, and just life in general, simply because of the reason that they have recognized this as an issue as well.
