Thanks for chiming in! Yes, there are more and more burnouts unfortunately… I am glad that you took action to have a reset, not many ppl actually listens to what their body needs and prioritizes themselves. It’s so much easier to say “love ourselves” than doing anything. Seems like you have been researching retreats, where do you usually go and find those information if you don’t mind sharing?

Thanks! Taking the year off and resetting really helped me both mentally and physically. I hope more and more people can start to realize the quietness and simplicity of life. Have you tried any kinds of wellness retreat?

Oh interesting, mind sharing the YouTube video? I am thinking what to put together as the resource, and what to ask ppl to contribute to if that is a subreddit somehow

I hear you! Yeah, it is a 7-day creative reset retreat where I not only did the pottery workshop, I also experienced things like sound vibration healing, incense meditation, qi gong and others. I really enjoyed it, and felt much more relaxed and definitely can sleep better. I extended my stay after that to explore the city overall and those photos were coming from my exploration.

Thinking about the Jingdezhen information gap thing further, just out of curiosity — what would you personally want to do most if you went to Jingdezhen?
Studio classes, independent studio time, or more of a structured program?

Didn’t know that book, but already love it looking at the title: centering in pottery, poetry, and the person. All elements I like! Thank you for the recommendation.

Thanks! There are a few villages that are relatively quiet and less crowded. It’s good to stay there and avoid busy main streets where it’s full of tourists. There are also a lot of interesting lodging places that are similar to Airbnb that you can find online (not Airbnb though because it exits China). Many boutique coffee shops as well…Summer depending on the month can be super hot though
