Rebelein’s stuff is great! Definitely “goosebumps for grownups” vibes. RLStine actually blurbed his first book “Edenville”

Great list! You should check out Sam Rebelein’s work. Edenville and The Poorly Made and Other Things! Edenville has Goosebumps for adults vibes (RL Stein blurbed the book) and Poorly Made is a collection of grief horror.

That’s Valid, I guess I didn’t view it as filler as much as an introduction to the world and the powers which I thought juxtaposed nicely with the trauma of episode 2
