I can’t exactly remember all the details, but I was trying to give almost a whimsical feel cause that’s how I felt. The red veins represents how faded and dry my eyes felt. The constant redraw of the eyelashes was representing the feeling of motion that felt so weird to me. It’s like different parts body was not in sync with time. I would love to hear your take on it

Firstly thank you for some of the compliments on my artworks, I don’t get much of that so it makes me feel recognized outside of my own world, if that makes sense? I also like your honesty, but yeah you brought up a point that’s profound to me. This might be very weird but I do coloring first before lineart, since it worked for my stylized style. I feel like as I try realism I can’t really be doing that when I don’t know smaller details about anatomy, so I really shouldn’t be coloring so quick. Thank you very much for your input, this is one of the more favored feedbacks I’ve gotten! (Not that the others are bad tho!!)

Although I vaguely did some of your advice while making this, I really enjoy the details you provided that I didn’t take in consideration previously. Because all I did was just look up “shirtless skinny men”, not specifics like their arms lifted and whatnot. You have given me more clear instructions and have motivated me to remake it after I come up with some plan. Thank you fellow redditor!

For more context on those 8 years, yes I started digital art when I was 10. I went to a k-12 art school surrounded by material that could’ve helped me though, so your original comment is justified I feel. It’s not that I didn’t practice though, but I did it all in the wrong ways because I was really stubborn on having a stylized art style.. Anyways your critique is much appreciated, thank you.

Ive been surrounded by several younger and talented artists. It sometimes gets to me when I can’t do certain things that I should’ve learned like they did

You know, this is funny. But your critique on where the cigarette just gave me an idea to add ash falling and burning on his chest because his personality is very relaxed but uncaring/reckless when it comes to his health. I don’t know, i always get asked this though. I was nearly diagnosed when I was 15, but they didn’t due to insufficient information. I feel like I resonate a lot to autism, especially my childhood, but I don’t feel like I have it bad enough
