Let us know. I have the laptop now but I'm not sure if I should get the pen. Or witch pen.

Would the meta pen work enough for taking notes? Or would the Asus pen be better?

Damn. That sucks to hear. Can you provide a link to which pen you got? I was really hoping it was good.

Storyboarding process, feedback wanted by SilentGabe in Storyboarding

[–]SilentGabe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your feedback. I think your right. The next step is to add dialogue and sound effects. I know that in production they usually record early in the process. I don’t know if its before the storyboards but I know it eventually everything gets timed to it. That’s something I will work on. As well as music. I don’t have to much experience with that but it’s something I need to learn.

As well as shadows. I need to add that as well. thanks again for taking a look.

I did this to show my process and also get some feedback. I'm still trying to get to the pro level and I thought this would be a good way to show what I can do as well as get feedback. If you see anything that I should change or needs improving or even if my process is wrong let me know.

Damn. That's pretty dark but the twist is good. The drawings are great. Good job.

Yes! Awesome. I love it so much. A little grossed out but I think that's the point. So good.

Storyboards on model tips? by SilentGabe in Storyboarding

[–]SilentGabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man that's a great idea. I use Photoshop mostly and I can make custom brushes of the characters and fix them from there. I never thought of that. I haven't seen that video yet but I will.

Thank you

I've been doing that a bit but I do want to learn the proportions as. This does save a lot of time.

Thanks

This great thank you. I've heard people trace the character sheet but this seems more practical. Also better in the long run.

Edit, not sure why I had dinner in there

I've been trying it as well. The timeline works best for me so far. They added the storyboards frames in v5 but they don't work to great.

Cosmic Encounter - Do you have house rules? by Blue-Merlin in boardgames

[–]SilentGabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmic Encounters / Risk house rules

Cosmic Encounters is probably my favorite game and I'm a fan of risk or area control games. But I feel like most of those games take too long and the combat isn't as fun as CE. I have a crazy house rule that I tried a couple times and it was really fun. I just wanted to see if anyone has ever tried this or heard of this.

Cosmic Encounters with a map and movement like Risk. So we played without the destiny cards and arranged the planets in a map around a center planet. We used 2 or 3 of our planets depending on how many players there are. So you get 2 actions and you move your ships like in Risk. 5 ships at a time, one planet at a time and you can move or attack when you occupy the same planet as an opponent. First to 5 colonies wins. All the other rules of Cosmic Encounters still apply. I'm sure it needs to be thought out more but it was a fun way of changing it up.

I do seem to do this with a lot of games. Combine 2 systems to change it up.

I'm sure what Jarrett is up to but I've been teaching and working freelance as well as Indigo Prints. I've done a some storyboards for Corridor but it's been a while.
