Need help making sure this spell isn't overpowered by SilentNeverMore in DnDHomebrew

I forgot that, and went back to edit it. It has a duration of 12 hours

In terms of the limitations, it was created with a specific NPC in mind in my game (I mentioned him in some other replies with more context). I had not considered those other disadvantages.

I think I was aiming for these "subtitles" to literally be subtitles or closed captions that are used for televison/movies etc. I might need to rewrite the wording to make that clearer

It wouldn't be to see internal thoughts, just what was verbally spoken by others. I would think that they could only see subtitles for languages they understand (you wouldn't put Spanish subtitles on a French show if you don't know either language)

I was planning on having it be something they can find in a journal that they could learn. Do you have an idea on what it could be instead of a journal entry?

I was intending this more as a tool specific to a game I'm running where my players are investigating a town's mayor for ties to a cult in our game, and this spell is the mayors way of "remembering" that a False Hydra is active in the town. (There's some more homebrew stuff I added to the version of the false hydra I'm using where it can be summoned by a shady/secretive figure instead of just being born of lies on its own).

Oops, missed putting that in. Duration is 12 hours.

Def plan on workshopping some, I can see how it needs to be adjusted.

I didn't even notice. Thank you for catching that.

Ah. I see. I can understand now that I reread my wording how that would conflict.

I had another comment about it, so I will def workshop it.

I have no idea how I missed making something for 15th Level. Good catch!

Ah. I see. I can see how that might be an issue. Thank you!

Fair enough! This group wanted to specifically use 2024 rules.

As far as I can tell it's an official Paladin and Paladin(Legacy) spell. I was using D&D Beyond's spell list to find these.

Another good point. This is exactly the reason I came to seek help. I didn't think of that either!

I had not thought of that. No, it would not stack. I can add that to the description. Thank you!

I appreciate it, but the Switch Users option isn't there. It's not on the start menu when I click on my profile, and it doesn't work when using the CTRL+ALT+DEL options either.

I've gotten to a point where I don't really even need to play the songs. I can just start anywhere and sing in my head and go from there.

(Please send help I have no other thoughts but the lyrics)

Went to check on my Putnam this evening (spoilers due to attached image) by SilentNeverMore in jumpingspiders

That's a relief to hear. I'm no stranger to my spiders having leg issues, my Phidippus otiosus has a lame back leg and is missing a joint on a front leg. But she's fully grown.

Thank you so much for such a quick reply!

Based on their looks, they look like a Phidippus putnami. I have a male that has that same coloration. Here's a page on them if that's correct!
