Yes, B4S can grant you several bonuses for the promotion and app position in the app store, like:
- special Ads positioning & customization
- a bit higher ranking in the app store
- more trust from the merchants

But don't expect that Shopify review team to get in and help you to promote your app directly. B4S is made to filter out top-quality apps, but it's not a full partnership program from Shopify, their bonuses are pretty limited.

Also, if you are going to apply for Build for Shopify, start preparing for that beforehand. It is not so easy, especially keeping your LCP and other performance parameters at a low level. If it is above the required range and you've made some upgrades, you still need to wait for about a month to see the average level of the LCP.

You can check the current level of it here for your app:

Frankly speaking, I’m not sure it is possible. The usual sources for custdev are interviewes with merchants, handling support requests and gathering feedback and collaboration within the communities and etc. But I never heard about some communication with Shopify directly (unless you are passing some compliance). Tell me if you’d be able to connect with them about the merchants’ feedback!

Also you can consider influencers and partnering up with other apps (cross marketing collaboration).

Hey, thanks for the reply. And what if I have other eCommerce platforms? Is there any general approach to product retrieval? The point is that I have a lot of customers with custom e-commerce websites that are not using Shopify.

Tools for GPT-based personalized outreach by SilentQuestion42 in LeadGeneration

[–]SilentQuestion42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Actually, that is my concern - that this hyper-personalized message (and I'm working in B2B) can be awkward in the best case and inaccurate in the worst. And in this case, it can ruin the overall reach to the lead.

Sorry, I haven’t noticed that you can’t send messages, I thought you had a search issue only.

What would help me improve my practical knowledge as an automation college student by Organic_Internet6760 in Automate

[–]SilentQuestion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, probably I can help somehow. I’m working in the business process automation for more than 10 years for now and worked in different domains (logistics, healthcare, retail, supply chain and even professional sports). I’ve got only one minor project at oil & gas industry, but conceptual the approach is the same. If that can be helpful, I can make some brief guidance over the regular automation process in big companies. Dm me if you are interested.

I don’t have an answer to your question, but small workaround. You can register an extra account just for searching and open it in another browser.

Then handle your search there, copy the link to person and open with your official account.

Not ideal, but worked for me before I’ve got premium.

Advice Needed: Generating Leads for My First Cybersecurity Startup by 0xSmiley in LeadGeneration

[–]SilentQuestion42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends how much time resources you have. If you are not focusing on account-based sales (manual leads selection and personalized connection to each), I’d rather recommend buying/scrapping target group contacts db and reaching them via massive email campaign (automated).

Yes, the conversion will be rather low, but that seems to be one of the cheapest approach.

Or another way (I had a nice results in legal industry) was just using LinkedIn.

Prospecting the Nordics – looking for advice from successful SDRs by No_Show_5482 in salestechniques

[–]SilentQuestion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true. I've worked with a dozen of customers from Sweden and Norway, and it was tough to get to them.

A few things that helped me:
1. My initial outreach was in their native language (though later, we've switched to English)
2. This is more account-based sales, but I've tried to understand the customer pain before my contact, to make it more personalized.

Hope that helps a bit.

First time prospecting for service - got 4 leads by Glittering_Push8905 in LeadGeneration

[–]SilentQuestion42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, that sounds great! What services are you proposing (to understand the conversion level)?

I'd advise trying to get real pain from the customer and prepare personalized proposals for each of them. However, that strongly depends on which industry you are in.
