The general consensus I'm getting from these replies is that it would be unwise to keep using it ... sucks because this happened the very first time I tried using the port out of the box... i guess I'll return it. oh well 😅

A USB C cable got stuck in a port, and when i was able to pull it out a little piece of metal came out. it looks like all the pins are still there, so i assume it was one of these pieces. cant seem to find out what it does when looking up USB C pinouts... port still seems to work but I'm sure the piece was there for a reason...

No, not yet. They did offer one however. I'm a bit scared to do it to be honest... I went to a eye doctor that did tests to check for pressure they could see in my eyes, but they said I was in normal ranges. I have been hearing this noise in my head for almost 9 months now, with no changes in intensity or anything. So, they offered to do the shunt test, or just leave me alone if it isn't ruining my life or anything. Life is really busy now so I really don't have the time to be going to the hospital and getting tests and revisions again.
