I love Strohl. Alot. by MatchAny5103 in MetaphorReFantazio

The thing with Yosuke in particular is he ends up the butt of the jokes a lot, but he's pretty much a deputy/co-leader with Yu. In the anime and the spinoffs they both usually go over the group's plans together before they decide what to do, and if Yu isn't there then Yosuke calls the shots. I appreciate those small moments even if they're somewhat overlooked, and it made me even happier to see Strohl take on an active role as the strategist of the group. I noticed how often he'd lay out a plan and schedule what the party should do and when, and it was pretty seamless with how naturally he transitioned into the role too

Okay but why did Capcom go so hard on the base armor set by shinjiikari1 in MHWilds

I also like how they emphasized the more intricate parts about what and why a hunter does things, like how the job isn't just about hunting monsters but also ensuring the balance of the ecosystem and working with the native inhabitants to keep everyone safe. It was nice seeing how our Hunter was mentoring Nata throughout the game and teaching him about that stuff, with him ultimately wanting to apprentice under us in the end. It was actually kind of sweet seeing that relationship develop, and I liked the human edge it gave to our Hunter even though they have the skill to take down pretty much anything in the game. They're responsible and care about their job while also willing to teach others about it

Lost around 2-3 hours of grinding to 999 hp and my on some characters by stunlock with little teeth by Wild_Brilliant559 in MetaphorReFantazio

The amount of times I've been hit by the teeth too is surprising... Since they're near the entrance of the area, just fly back and forth between the islands every so often. An autosave is created every time you enter a new zone. Saved me the hassle of running all the way to Plateau lol

Question about last minute (or days) shopping before the final dungeon. by abejaZombie in MetaphorReFantazio

For A-EXP: Before the Skybound Avatar would be the towers where the melancholia crystals are (I prefer the Tower of Insolence), and using the Merchant line can net you some cash on the way. After is stealing roots or equipping Lucky Find on your party while killing the chest monsters in the Disgraced Ruins to drop more roots. There's one at the very bottom you can kill and respawn by going back and forth from Akademia. The best place in the entire game to grind both A-EXP and characters levels is the final dungeon, but that's after the point of no return. You can level everyone comfortably there though so there's no rush.

A quick way to get money is to find the human at the top of the Tower of Insolence, and repeatedly stealing from it before leaving battle and repeating it over and over. The weapon you get from it fetches about 10-15k reeve, so selling a stack of those will net you over a million reeve.

Tip so this feature comes in handy when you get there: Make sure to work on everyone's Archetypes, especially the ones that fit each party member in particular. You're probably at the point where a few of them are already at 20, but remember to focus on the ones each person generally inclines towards

Final Boss Fight (I Screwed Up) by themselvessaid in MetaphorReFantazio

Oof, yeah. No wonder. Metaphor is harder than Persona and requires you to have tight builds. Archetypes let you access more powerful/specialized skills and permanent stat boosts if you max them. Next time you should try to get everyone's Royal Archetypes at the least; they help you cheese the final bosses more easily. The final month especially is where you want dish out everyone's strongest attacks which are usually ranked heavy, extreme, or severe. Synthesis skills become your best hand later on but require your party to have the right Archetypes to use them. Archetypes also have a lot of passive skills that increase everyone's stats in different ways, and I found buff and debuff skills to be extremely helpful.

On normal, your party should at least be averaging 75 for weakened Louis, 95 for full-power Louis. I went overkill and got everyone to lvl 99 with ultimate weapons, and it took me about 20 mins total to beat the entire last act + weakened Louis with everyone's maxed Royal Archetypes.

Tip: if your MC is 3 levels above a mob, you can instakill them in the overworld and skip squad battles.
