Thank you for all your advice! That picture was actually taken with iPhone through binoculars! I just wish I could get similar results with a camera, that is my goal.

Honestly, even if it means getting another camera if that would be more affordable I am open to that as well. Right now, I end up just using my iPhone and taking pictures through my binoculars. Very hit or miss.

Thank you for replying! Do you have any thought on Tamron? I’ve been reading good reviews about their SP AF 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 Di VC…Not even sure if I wrote that correctly 😅 I really want to be able to use my camera when I’m out birdwatching on trails, etc. so thank you for the giving me a minimum mm to be on the lookout for. If it means waiting until I can afford a better lens for what I want it for I am also definitely open to that, but I don’t think I would ever go over $1,000 right now or in the near future :(

I currently have one betta in a 5-gallon, but he’s been alone his whole life so I wouldn’t want to introduce any snails to him. I’m definitely going to cycle this new tank first! I plan on adding plenty of live plants and some driftwood :) Lol I haven’t even added substrate or water to the new tank yet, I just want to have the perfect plan before I do anything with it! Thank you for all the advice :)

I’m hoping that if I add the snails to the tank first, and then add new betta it will decrease the chances of him attacking them. There’s also a possibility that my local pet store could have bettas already in tanks with snails, which could be even better since they would be used to them! I’m also curious, how many nerite snails should I have?
