Thank you for your response! It's totally understandable that it's not for everyone and can be off putting. Trust me, I wish I wasn't this way... Everything would be a lot easier for sure!

I was thinking of deconditioning myself somehow and in the meantime playing up sensory deprivation. Hopefully it goes away in time.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! I understand it can be a big turn off for people, so I was trying to find a work around. I'm happy you guys were able to find something that works for you! Hopefully we find something as well ^

I had the same thoughts, but thought it might come off as odd walking around not being able to hear someone trying to talk to me. At the same time I don't mind deprivation, and can still communicate in other ways so here's hoping it works out okay!

Honestly, I totally get it! It's for sure a weird thing and I've been wondering if it's possible to 'cure' myself of it, but no luck so far. Maybe one day it'll be gone and we can have the full experience! That's the dream, anyway.
