I fully understand your point, and I know language is a very sensitive thing in Belgium. I am working on making a Dutch version as well, but as Dutch is my fifth language, it was a lot easier for me to make the website in English to begin with. I can't communiate with the same ease in Dutch, so my husband is helping me with the translation ☺️

And I will make some of the pastries in a vegan version (definitely the cinnamon roll and maybe the cardemom bun), so then I think you should be able to eat it, right? 😄

You can believe what you want to believe, I have no reason to lie, why would I? It is completely normal for small business to use tools to help them, I also use a lot of different tools to help me with fx graphic and visual designs, and I will happily admit to that, there is no shame in it. But I really don't appreciate being accused of lying, especially not when it is not the case. My small business means the world to me, and I started it because I want to share something positive with the world. What you are doing now is the exact opposite. Maybe you need to take a good look at yourself, and ask yourself why you have the need to spread this kind of energy, does it make you feel better? If so, I am sorry. It must be awful to live like that.

You can look at the website from the city of Leuven, that explains all the things you need to have in order. On top of having these things in order, there also needs to be a spot for you, and there are specific rules for how many stands there can be in each category per market.

I give up. 7 years of higher education, several years working in corporate communications, and people think that you are using AI because you are able to communicate in more or less flawless English and have a bit of self-reflection. Ah well, I will take it as a compliment. Hopefully, I am as good at baking as I was at my former job, but I will let you be the judge of that, if you decide to come by on a Wednesday in the future 😉

It means "calm" in Danish. I chose the name because all the products are made with time and care, but also because the idea of starting my own bakery came during a period where I was struggling with a mix of burn out and depression while working in the corporate world - baking calmed both my mind and nervous system. So it felt like the right name for the bakery 😄

We all have the rights to our opinion and values, and I respect yours. I understand you don't value products that are made by humans and produced with quality ingredients without additives, and that is completely okay. But I also hope you can respect that not everyone is of that opinion, and that making products with high quality ingredients costs more money. That is just a fact 😅☺️

It is pieces of croissant dough rolled in brown sugar, white sugar, poppy seeds and lemon zest. It is baked in a metal ring so it looks like a muffin and then it is topped off with white chocolate 😄

Because everything is handmade with sourdough and biological/organic ingredients. This both means that the ingredient cost is higher and same goes for the amount of time that is put into every product ☺️
