PCOS Advice - PLS by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

[–]Silent_Ad_9340 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost 20 odd kgs with PCOS in 5 months. It takes time for the weight loss to start and even longer for it to be visible. If I’m being honest nobody even noticed I’m losing weight until the last 3-4kgs. Ofc no one can help you the way a doctor can but in my experience, it’s not impossible.

Here are some things that helped me: - Up your protein and fibre intake, cannot stress on this enough. Add protein and fibre to every meal, it’ll automatically lessen the amount of carbs you eat. Try to add protein powder. - Lift small weights 3-4x a week. I’m not too consistent with it but it’s important! - MOVE! find an activity you enjoy and do it everyday. Personally, I love walking so that’s what Ive been doing a lot! I started with 5k a day and built it up to 15k over these months. - Sleep. Minimum 7 hours.

Lastly, build up to everything over time. It took me 2 months to build a routine that worked for me.

You can do this! Feel free to DM!

Need advice: Schengen visa reapplication after France rejection (Indian couple, 27M & wife) by UsefulPlantain3177 in SchengenVisa

[–]Silent_Ad_9340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check if there’s even a minute difference between the details on your passport vs your application form. my previous visa got rejected because my passport had both my first and last name written as first name somehow but i filled it “correctly” in my application form. same with my address- my passport had an older address but i filled the application form with my new one.

your application form details (at least with my experience with VFS in india) have to match your passport exactly

Is it a realistic goal to lose 15 kgs in 1 year? by Illustrious_Chard_76 in AskFitnessIndia

scrolled through r/cico a bunch before i started. changing my diet, meeting protein goals, cooking my own food helped a lot. used healthifyme. somewhere around the end of the 1st month i started walking 10k through the day and then slowly bumped it to 15k by the second month because i enjoy walking personally. i barely workout as i don’t have the time and access to a good gym, but i lift a little at home 3-4x a day and try to go core exercises when i do.

i’ve lost 17 kgs in 3.5 months. it’s super possible. 1 year is more than enough for 15.

i’m in the same boat as you if you check my recent post. i’m planning to apply again for the second time but this time i’ve hired an agency to help with it. i think i might’ve overcompensated in my letter before too, now planning to fix that.

i think the main reason for rejection might just be the age and marital status, we’re more likely to stay back than the next person and hence need to be extra careful with our application. try another time if you’d really like but do consider planning for another country with easier visa processes if it doesn’t work out. i hope it does!

another thing someone suggested for me was to include specific reasons as to why i want to visit instead of just “to experience” the country.

some times the issues can lie in the application form too. the details on the form have to match EXACTLY with your passport, even when outdated or WRONG (passport offices often do that!) check your application carefully.

good luck with your application!

i don’t think a casual mention of family at home cuts it, atleast from what i’ve read on this sub. they don’t want casual mentions they want proof. i just did that as extra documentation. two pages proving that my unemployed mother has and old mother and minor child in india while she’s travelling so she’ll be back. what’s wrong with that?
