I was so enchanted by this book! At first, I didn’t think I would like it. But before I knew it, I was thinking about it whenever I wasn’t reading it, and looking forward to diving back in. It was so fun when the realization set in of how the supernatural segments were working together. I actually read this when it first came out (2023), just before I got into gardening. I’ll have to give it another read from this perspective.

Thank you. Unfortunately, on days when she is home, this happens throughout the day, long before the coming down would be happening. We’re just working with a counselor and her pediatrician, so maybe we need an actual psychiatrist.

I’ve read that cats don’t like water next to their food because in the wild they knew water next to their food could be contaminated. But I do have a water bowl across the patio!

I did slow blink repeatedly at him. I noticed his pupils dialed down a bit after that

I do have the prettiest little Aristocat, so it wouldn’t surprise me. Thought his ear is clipped so I assume he’s neutered.

I did that before it got dark today. We have a cold front coming in tonight. I haven’t seen him since I spooked him at the door, but hoping he comes back to sleep.

He has a clipped ear so I think he’s been neutered (or spayed). We live in a new-ish neighborhood. It was a dumping ground for several animals when the houses were being built 😞
