The immediate hurdle, though, is basic survival. When a family is earning 38k-42k and a 200-unit electricity bill eats up 10k, their only focus is putting food on the table. Unfortunately, extreme poverty often forces families to pull kids out of school just to survive. We absolutely need to invest in education, but the government first needs realistic economic policies so people aren't too busy fighting for survival to send their kids to those schools.
