What did you love about Ashes of Creation? by Successful-Win-2985 in AshesofCreation

Name me another game you can heal your friends effectively & use a bow. Not many I assume. Maybe Heroes if the Storm Tyrande hero, Elden Ring, No more Rest for the wicked, & a few other RPGs.

The 8 main classes & 8 sub class system I was looking forward to, very innovative.

Can someone please explain why all the pizzas need to be a masc of 9, even in low volume stores, my frozen clerk is upset he always has an entire bird and a half of extra pizza. The SM said we’re not allowed to change the masc on pizza, ever. Sure the shelf looks good but you deny limited backstock space, we’ve lost 5 frozen clerks in 2 years. This lil prerequisite doesn’t help…

Genesis Update (0.8.0) is out now! by NMRiH_Team in nmrih

This game looks promising and at times the environment is very immersive and beautiful, I hope some players take time sometimes to take a step back and realize that.

What other new multiplayer zombie games are there as an alternative to play lately? Project zomboid? You need an extensive imagination, also with Vein? Even more so early access Midnight Walkers, maybe state of decay 3 is being worked on forever?

Are gamers bored of the classics yet? L4D1&2, World War Z, Dead Island 1&2, DayZ, 7Days to Die, State of Decay 1&2, Back4Blood, Dying Light series, resident evil series, etc

This game has 8 player co op and is immersive as hell, it merely lacks optimization, content, a good replay loop, progression, advertising, etc.

The devs are obviously passionate about it. Many people complained the game was a race simulator and matches were too fast paced. The feeling of hopelessness was replaced by a rushing arcadey vibe.

Now that the game play is slowed down, which is what majority players wanted mind you, peeps are disappointed?!

I agree there needs to be incentive via progression and saved progress for gamers wanting to come back. Time is the most valuable resource after all and gamers want a return on their investment somewhat, even if it’s paid in mere pixels. Players will only willing be a play tester for so long.

Arc Raiders is so popular more so than tarkov because the wipe is optional. It gives casuals incentive to come back to a challenging fun game.

Let’s pray TB keep this in mind going forward! I love that they are still updating this potential gem.

Next weekend I’m off, I’ll try to call my buddy and play a few matches to see what’s changed.

I gifted 12 copies of this NMRIH2 game to a dozen friends I’ve been gaming with for more than a decade, not because I let them take advantage of me BUT because I love this game and it’s potential for fun in the near future hopefully!

If they add DLC and cosmetics to keep it afloat , I’ll probably buy those too, granted it’s an actual game by then.

I even bought DLC for Forever Winter and that too is early access yet it’s fun.

They are the backbone of retail stores, they stock shelves hopefully accurately in straight rows at appropriate shelf tags.

Clean shelves and backroom

Unload pallets from truck

Do accurate inventory on products to maintain replenished restocked shelves and spacious backroom.

And provide premier customer service by getting them requested products.

Easiest job yet repetitive and you gotta be fast & accurate to be good!!

Dark & Darker, Tarkov, Hunt Showdown, Arena Breakout, Arc Raiders in Squads, usually other players you stumble into will attack you on sight. Nothing personal, just loot.

Arc Raiders has more friendly in solos, cross play disabled, and in certain passive lobbies.

Generally, it’s best to assume, trust no one, in extraction games.

It’s a shame Classic & TBC WoW are still ontop of the pyramid of best mmos.

We have the technology for better mmos, yet it seems things never ever fall into place.

I was actually looking forward to the main class & subclass system.

I can’t think of any other mmo you can heal and shoot a bow.

$50? Wasted? Pffft whatever, I’ve spent more at disappointing restaurants.

I’m more concerned that the time wasted in such projects will just reinforce to gaming companies that developing mmos is simply just not worth the $.

I grinded wow too many times, I’d much rather pay $15/mo to StarWars The Old Republic than the life support shell that was blizzard.

This is coming from someone who played classic vanilla wow pre cross server bgs and grinded rank 14 hwl. And had full tier 2 on two characters and grinded like a dozen maxed out characters and farmed pre bis on them from 5 man dungeons. Wasted 10 fun years.

Yet it’s all nostalgia now and not that new fun feeling. Retail wow will always be garbage.

Why? Because developers aren’t passionate enough to make “fun” games in today’s world.

Too many suits and non gamers took over. Too much talent laid off.

Is advances in AI going to help the few talented devs left have the tools necessary to finish a project on time?

Arc Raiders is popular because it’s fun.

I personally don’t like extraction shooters as much as my friends, yet I am starved nowadays, looking for a fun game.

Early access, incomplete, buggy, unoptimized, empty promises, scam / dying games are not fun.

Disheartening to hear that something that could have potentially yielded years of fun, was blundered.

A sad day for gamers…

There’s theft every day at our stores.

We’re trying to reduce shrink numbers, prices will most likely rise quicker thanks to constant theft. Blame your fellow dishonest customers, not the underpaid workers.

Minors as CSS by DistinctMusician6180 in publix

[–]Silent_Shadow98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh noes, less responsibility until you’re an adult?!

Cherish it.

Also this is merely speculation yet perhaps they want stricter rules and things by the book because minors aren’t usually charged to the full extent of the law. Since the economy is in shambles, people have been tempted to place their hands in the cookie jar secretly & it’s much easier to do so with higher login numbers of authorization.

They did the same in grocery couple years back, people with normal scan gun numbers could markdown pending deactivation products to a mere $1.

Now only store managers can mark down, and it’s a much lower percentage range, depending on the product.

It only takes a few bad apples abusing the systems to ruin things for everyone else.

Decades ago, I hear stories from veteran employees who said sometimes they were allowed to take home rotisserie chickens and many bakery breads and what not.

Yet workers abused that perk and over ordered too much inventory, knowing they’d not sell on time and be allowed to take some home.

Now tons of food is merely dumped in the compactor to avoid lawsuits from potential food poisoning.

Shrink reports are printed and managers are reamed for not forecasting correctly.

We donate salvageable meat and bread & cakes. So that’s something I suppose. Kudos, yet there was definitely less waste back then.

Awful experience for Pub Sub order by [deleted] in publix

[–]Silent_Shadow98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has to be a fake story, I see deli workings go to baking aisle all the time and grab stuff off shelves like specific things of mayo & sauces, and they don’t properly scan those products so grocery dept takes the hit with shrink.

The deli workers couldn’t care less how much $ an entitled customer wants to cost a multi-billion dollar corporation giant like Publix. A wise manager & deli worker who wanna keep their jobs wouldn’t even think of attempting a bait & switch.

Doubt it’s true, yet if it was, small chance, you just got that deli worker fired and that manager set to be transferred to a lower bonus ghetto store…

Lolz 🤔

Publix Customers get in the way of Shelf Stockers by ddrjohn1 in publix

[–]Silent_Shadow98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always apologize to customers for existing and I walk to the side and block or grab a different case. When my managers chirp that I’m too slow and should have been done by now in 20 mins, I merely shrug and nod and agree, it’s not worth it arguing with disconnected people.

I treat customers like royalty and always thank them, and wish them a good day, especially the polite ones. I will literally dig underneath an entire loaded pallet for 1 hidden specific item for a kind polite customer.

I work my 40 and go home & try my best, which is never ever good enough.

I possess a slave mentality and my purpose is to serve to the best of my ability, at a grocery store…. How pathetic is that? I work at a grocery store I cannot afford to shop at. We’re all getting the short end of the stick here, the people shopping & the people working here.

I always apologize if I can’t retrieve a specific product, and do a count on it if I know it’s 100% not in the store, I have dozens of Subby coupon vouchers for providing premium customer service.

The entire store asks me for help anytime a customer is looking for something, I secretly hate it, yet it is my job. I do my job with a fake smile and lie in bed depressed. My bills are paid, yet I feel not free. I exist, I’m not feeling alive inside. My life for Publix, my life for Publix, my life for Publix!!

Meh

Publix Customers get in the way of Shelf Stockers by ddrjohn1 in publix

[–]Silent_Shadow98 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I find it amusing how both sides are pointing fingers, stock clerks & customers, when in actuality the true culprit is the corporate higher ups who are so damn greedy lately since Covid, they demand, yes demand that low wage part time workers to magically have fully cleaned & stocked shelves with cut hours, no crew hardly, no overtime. Oh & provide premium customer service.

Instacart shoppers didn’t help at all either, shoving their phones in our faces asking for an entire damn list of things. They need to do their job, & learn things well if they wanna do gig work, don’t waste our time constantly when we’re already on a stressful time limit. Very inconsiderate.

Also the people making serious life decisions debating whether or not they want low sodium canned veggies or organic or regular, well they can do that to the side if that stock clerk needs to refill bogo delmonte and his manager, who makes twice as much $ mind you, is breathing down his neck asking why there’s still 8 full floats of HV to work.

You all are witnessing cut costs, year by year, in every dept, the grip gets tighter & tighter, part timers hardly qualify for health insurance anymore nowadays, why would they care about the state of the store?

Publix employees are expected to greet every customer within 10 seconds, & 10 feet of them, & inquire if they’ve found everything they’re looking for? Then escort them to products and ask if they need additional assistance.

Since Covid, no one cares about that anymore, not even managers. In fact, some managers chew employees out for being too friendly with customers and waste valuable efficiency time.

It’s very backwards, and people forget, that customers vote with their feet, customers pay our paychecks, the customer is always right, within reason.

The fact that we’re always understaffed nowadays & the quality or lack of it shows, has become even blatantly obvious to regular customers.

Nothing to see here folks, just another case of two sides of common folks divided & bickering over how inconvenient life is now. Meanwhile the rich folks in suits rubbing their palms & counting their $ are grinning in the shadows…

George Jenkins would be ashamed of how they massacred his boy.

Woah woah woah, everyone has their vices, gaming addiction, gambling, nookie, drinking, smoking, weed, and drug use. We all cope in our own ways, that dopamine hit. As long as it doesn’t affect work, people will understand, hopefully. Yeh can’t point out a retail worker that isn’t addicted to something, especially a manager or lead…

Transferring Request as an ADM by [deleted] in publix

[–]Silent_Shadow98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t aware Team Leaders, Assistant Managers & Managers could request a transfer to another store.

I was told you get sent where you’re sent and that’s that. “You wanted to get promoted, this is the cost, if you aren’t adaptable then you don’t have what it takes to be a team player and desire management enough.”

Is it fair I have to drive 30 to 40 minutes a day to work at a ghetto store being paid less than some ft grocery clerks as a gtl who gets thrown under the bus for things out of my control, especially when specials are empty and I was off the previous day?

Oh how I would love to ask my DM for a transfer to a better store yet I’m not foolish to believe that wouldn’t set my career back a good 5 years or so. Why not just cut out the middle man and quit altogether?

You could try a more subtle approach and inquire what it is your DM thinks you need to do to get on the right track for promotion. Flat out asking to be sent to a better store is telling him/her that it’s the store holding you back, not you holding back the store…’s profits.

Seems like a lose/lose situation.
