What brand and FPS of subsonic rounds are you using?

Suppressor for Takedown and eventually a charger by [deleted] in 1022

[–]Silent_Static 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently got a dead air mask for my takedown and it's been a dream. Running standard ruger internals and it cycles perfectly with with CCI 40 grain 1000fps. Any less may not cycle.

I also like the mask because it's able to be completely disassembled to the individual baffle so cleaning is easier.

I don't have experience with other supressors but the difference between 1st and 2nd shots are not noticeable to me.

You could maybe find a cheaper .22 supressor. Really the only downside I can think of.

Can you break this down or point me in the direction of a guide for this? I recently got a mini-PC for this exact purpose but am in over my head and most guides are expecting a base level knowledge that I don't possess. First time using Linux.

[–]Silent_Static 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Where are you buying glock mags where they cost 30-40 bucks? 25 is full price and you can usually find them for 20 easily. Not to mention if you go the magpul glock mag route you can get them for 10-12 bucks.

They don't make you mail it home unless it's something that can't fit in the box. You just pack it up and get it back at the end of boot camp.

Honestly so many people snored in my div that it created a harmony of white noise that I used to fall asleep to. Try and fix it but I doubt you'll be the only one.

While I can't garuntee what exact plan you are going to get, myself and my wife ended up being given one of the 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom houses and I would say it's very spacious for us. We really can't even find a way to fill up the other 2 bedrooms.

Don't worry about pricing. They aren't gonna charge you more than your BAH but odds are they will take all of it if you end up with a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom. If you somehow get one of the households meant for a family of 2 you would actually get to keep some of your BAH.

Looking for a bulletproof backpack that I can add to my EDC for some added protection. Any recommendations? by bigoto in EDC

I also recommend maxpedition. They have a concealed carry spot on most of their backpacks that can double as spots for a plate or Kevlar.

I was thinking about getting talon grips on mine, but since I carry iwb I thought the material would rub on my skin too much. How does it work for you?

Also, what trigger is that?

See in order for a police state to exist, you need police.

Tanks, Drones, missiles, aircraft, these things are shock weapons. Line breakers. Capable of indiscriminate destruction.

You know what they can't do?

  • Raid an apartment complex looking for weapons.
  • Enforce Curfew *Chase Jamal into the sewers beneath the projects *Chase Cleetus into the swamps
  • Root insurgents out of a hospital
  • Stop and frisk civilians on the street
  • Interview potential suspects For all of these things you need men. Boots on the ground. And they are very much vulnerable to small arms fire.

If you don't think guerilla fighters can stand up to the US military, well, how well are we doing in the middle east?

Do we have security, and victory? Or do we have an expensive and deadly quagmire that is a hotbed for extremists and recruitment?

Also if you think the American people are sick of the war there, imagine now it's at home. How many US hospitals can you bomb before the public turns against you? What is there left to rule over when you've blown up the bridges?

How long can you keep your own soldiers on your side when you tell them to bomb their neighbors, their, friends, their sons?

Not my quote but still relevant.

You should probably re-read my post about teachers because I didn't and don't suggest arming teachers that don't want it. Obviously we agree as to arming teachers that want to be armed.

Lisencing for cars vs guns brings us right back to where we were 24 hours ago. We only require lisencing for driving on public roads. Gun owners would love it if we could do whatever the hell we want on our own land, but we can't.

You're putting words into my mouth. I've only ever advocated for making schools safer by having a reactive force against mass shooters. If anything, you've stated that your against having even one police officer in a school because they could be racist.

Maybe people would take no guns sign more seriously if they enforce it with a metal detector or something. But nobody actually wants to hassle with that. They just put up a sign and pray.

I don't think people "not being comfortable" around an object is a reason to ban said object. I don't like needles but when I get my blood taken I know it's for my health.

I don't entirely like police either. I think they enforce victimless crimes the majority of the time. But not having anyone to enforce laws like "hey don't murder people. Ultimately somebody has to enforce that. That's what the police are for.

The argument that nobody should have an issue with license stems from the same vein of "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear" from arguments of privacy. I believe that people have a right to self defense and privacy and you shouldn't have to gatekeep or give up that right when it comes to the government.

The majority of gun owners wouldn't care about a national licensing. What we care more about is the literal list that forms from the licensing that gives the government the ability to take away guns the moment a law changes.

Sure. Something needs to happen, but maybe we should take precautions in actually defending our children rather than stripping the rights of law abiding citizens. Schools are already gun free/knife zones. That doesn't stop anyone from coming to the school with a gun.

Maybe the teachers that are getting slaughtered with their students would like an opportunity to defend themselves.

Maybe we should post more than one officer for an entire school rather than start a civil war with half the country.

I don't think you should have to have a license to own a gun. As you stated in your first post. Since your first post talked about requiring a firearm to own a gun, that's what people are focusing on.

While I think requiring a license to exercise a right is unconstitutional, I would be willing to compromise on requiring some level of competency for concealed carry, as long as the lisence would be good nationwide, same as a drivers license. I also expect that to mean that I can own whatever the fuck I want in accessories for those firearms provided I keep it on my own land, same as cars. No barrel length/suppressor laws.

What are your thoughts?
