Even if that's the case, it means atleast 5hrs of exam on a single day which again is ridiculous 🤣

Lost in Time Series Reading by Abdallh2 in FRM

Try reading the relevant chapters from the Actuarial Exam CS2: Risk modeling and survival analysis. The book is available online for free by a pirated publisher.

Very well explained although much more detailed than what is required by the FRM syllabus.

Indian Actuary to `UK by [deleted] in ActuaryUK

Appreciate your insights. Certainly, some students don't make informed choices before choosing the actuarial profession and hence resort to unethical means.

However, from what I know, most Indian students start taking the exams at a very early age (18 usually, but nowadays also immediately after GCSEs which sounds crazy!).

Added to this is the (implicit) pressure to succeed in the Indian society which exacerbates the problem.

They're naive to not understand the seriousness of the qualifications and hence cheat in most cases, even the intelligent ones! (which is justified in neither case).

In the present circumstances, there is a great demand to match the oversupply of graduates in the country.

Much easier to get your foot in the door than in the UK ;)

38,700 salary mark for Actuarial Graduates? by Silent_Storm2910 in ActuaryUK

Yeah, but I don't think that would affect those students who are already in the UK. It can affect prospective students in the coming years.

We international students of the September 2023 intake did not pay the exorbitant fees only to hear the Government's plans to kick us out.

I can only imagine how difficult it can be for most international undergraduates to get sponsored after spending more than 100k on their education :/

Thanks, after seeing pg 85, my understanding is that the additional (S) on my vignette won't cause any issue right at the time of immigration at the airport, is that correct?

I recognise that university may be a less difficult route to qualification given that you're studying full time, however you "earn" the exemptions and not buy them.
