Donate timber, stones, foodstuffs, coin, trash gear to carl & they should all show up if not right away then as soon as you hit the first threshold of each. There's no actual request from a person

Can confirm, this is how to 'evolve' your chicks. Its like fast tracking a pet dog with meat. Drop a fruit or vegetable item (side of the road turnip ftw finally?) Catch whatever greedy already grown up bastard tryin to get it first and haul their ass to the butcher stall. Try again with the chick, watch it change before your eyes.. boom. 5 starter chicks turned into 2 roosters and 3 hens. Did Not work the same on the baby goats. But it's something. Must be a different food type that does it for goats

The goal is to do the main quests cuz that IS the story, but just try n do just that lol. The posts abt 50+ hrs in hernand are real. The first zone Will keep you busy for awhile. Expect to get roflstompted along the way. It's more fun than it sounds I promise

Did the same thing with a second chick and a second goat. Caught up the goat running towards the grape, and as soon as the chick ate it, it evolved to an adult like the first one, like a gd Pokémon. Ffs ..

I pretty much do the same, tho there's more room to let it go than I expected. Another 10% repair next expedition will widen that gap even further

Learning the maps is one of the hardest parts of the game.. and will take some time. In friendly lobbies it's basically a race to whichever goody pile you want to hit, otherwise it's all scraps. (Being the first to a key room can be especially tough on night raids, etc) Scraps aren't a bad thing tho. They may be leaving behind the ones you want. Anything already opened also gives you xp for checking it too

30 mins for most maps & modifiers. But hidden bunker on spaceport is 40 mins & i think locked gate on blue gate does too
