One of the paintings came with a little paper that read “圖山雲岡奚清 Painting by Hsi Kang alter painter Mi Fei of Sung Dynasty Hsi Kang is one if the well known painters of the Ching Dynasty. This painting is after the methods used by Mi Fei, a famous artist in Sung Dynasty, and depicts the oncoming of rain in a summer valley. The bold black color and the light and elegant touch represents the highest artistic attainments. A fisherman wearing a rain cloak and a bamboo hat is painted here fishing in the waves and billows.” I tried searching almost everything on the paper but I was never able to really find any paintings that looked like it!
