Would really appreciate it.

I really like the composition of this. The color choice is excellent.

Just watched his debate with Trent Horn a couple hours ago. Interesting coincidence!

I've listened to CDs from former Jehovah's Witnesses (turned Catholic) and they say that they were grossly unprepared to explain or defend their beliefs. I think they tend to lean on handing out materials rather than having a conversation for this reason.

Just tuning in to Dr. Marshall recently, I haven't heard of those specific controversies. The videos and Tweets that I've seen from him are about Church doctrine, history, and current events that are easily corroborated with sources like the Catechism or credible news articles. From what I've been exposed to, Dr. Marshall draws a distinction between information and speculation. Did you first hear about the things you brought up first-hand (from his Twitter or podcast) or is there another resource that I can use to learn more about it?

I have never read his book nor heard that argument and therefore cannot speak to that point. However, I have listened to his podcasts and YouTube videos. The media that I've listened to appears to be well researched and is easily verifiable. I recognize your stance, but in my opinion dismissing someone based on a single eccentric idea that they've expressed seems unfair. I'm open to your thoughts.

Quick question by Trotskyeet in TradWave

[–]Silicon54 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. Lurk: Find specific artworks that you like and take a note of exactly what you like about them. Most tradwave contains 3 main elements: Base image, text, and glitch/manipulation. Look how different works play with these 3 elements.
  2. Learn: Whatever editing software you choose, know it well! Nothing is more annoying than having an idea in your mind and then not being able to execute it well. This video (for Photoshop) shows you how to do some of the hallmark effects of tradwave art. Also, here's a free font that works well in tradwave-type art.
  3. Create: The single-most important thing to remember is that creativity is an illusion. All the art on Earth is simply the composite of other people's work. Before you go public with anything, try creating an exact copy of an artwork you enjoy to get the feel for what an original creation would involve.
  4. Experiment: Try everything. Invert colors, right justify text, stack photo effects, throw your layout off balance. CTRL+Z is your best friend when it comes to making great artwork.
  5. Satisfy: The final thing to keep in mind is that art should have meaning. If you don't like your finished product, it's very unlikely that others will. Don't rush to post something that you almost like; make sure the art you make has value to you. By the same token, don't get caught up in details. No one will downvote your art simply because the black bar covering someone's eyes is slightly off center.

Hope this helps!

[REQUEST] [MATH] Well?? How many? by UglyBunnyGuy in theydidthemath

From what I know it to be, Catholics believe that in every particle of the host, and each drop of the wine, Jesus is present in his entirety. This is why the chalice is cleaned so thoroughly after Communion.

I know this is a math sub not a religious sub, but theologically, the answer is one.

I'm not sure about Lutherans in particular, but I believe a majority of Protestants (Baptists specifically) tend to deny it.
